Paralee,
Sounds like you have a great plan lined out...kudos to you and your trainer.
Well, my family is doing a potluck type dinner at Mama's house. I've already probed everyone to see what they'll be bringing and I'm bringing a healthy dish (my NeoSoul collards) and a pretty calorie reasonable dessert.
I too have already logged the calories of what I plan to eat (for breakfast, lunch, and snacks I plan to have protein shakes and will have the regular Thanksgiving stuff at dinner). And I have weighed as well as taken the measurements in my waist. But to be on the safe side, I have a Core Rhythms workout scheduled in the morning as well as one once I get home.
I've been averaging between 14-18 C. of water a day, so along w/ the food that I'll be bringing, my water bottle will also be in tow.
Thankfully, our family gathering will be laid back, so I plan to wear one of my nicer workout outfits (my snug fitting pants will serve as a reminder to practice discipline). Usually after dinner, we all pick a spot and take a quick nap before seconds, thirds or fourths. During this naptime I plan to get caught up on all of my SP postings (more motivation to stay on track).
All of this may sound a little extreme, but recently I've been so focused and am seeing such incredible results, I cannot afford to have one little slip up. Although all things can be done in moderation, I know myself. When it comes to homemade lemon meringue pies, chess pies, cobblers, sock-it-to-me cake, macaroni & cheese, etc. I have no idea what moderation is...so I've set up a plan and I'm sticking to it!
