I believe it is applied topically, in a lotion.

Hawgwild1 says that caffeine can plump up the skin. How is the caffeine taken? Do you mean drinking it? Or some other way?

I love this team.......... I read this thread and thought to myself........ this is real incentive talk here.
What else could you possibly read that could give you the push to stick with it and maybe even do more? Losing the extra weight "could" maybe even should get rid of the cellulite.
I too really have more the orange peel look and only on my thighs.

Reading this was a HUGE boost. I love this team.
It answers my questions before Im even smart enought to ask them. LOL

However much you have now, if you lose fat, you'll have less visible cellulite. Self-tanner reduces the appearance greatly.

I use Jergens firming glow. It's a body lotion with a small bit of tanner in it to gradually darken, plus firm so cellulite is less visible. Or at least that's what the lable claims. emoticon

I still have *some*. I never had lots to begin with---at least not "cottage cheese." More like orange peel.

I had a lot of cellulite. It was on my tummy, legs, butt, and just about everywhere else.

That was a few years ago. I was over 160 lbs. Over the course of that year I went down to 110-112 lbs and lost all the cellulite.

It was just the way it looked of course, but it's very interesting that losing the weight made the cellulite disappear.

Mine is greatly reduced, but not gone completely! Last summer my Body fat was lower and I had hardly any. I will say that eating has at least 90% to do with it! When I eat healthier my legs look and feel so much better! What's crazy is a I have great definition, but still have cellulite! What gives? Maybe I should give the creams a try this summer along with eating better!

Ginie- Take a look at my progress pics on my spark page! I used to have it all over my legs, to include the front and some on my calves. Now it's just localized to the back of my upper thighs and my bum. :-)

I may never be completely cellulite-free, but the imorovement is remarkable!

I never really had cellulite.
Did you know that cellulite isn't really a FAT condition? It is the connective tissue that is not smooth, that gives your skin that dimply appearance.
Of course, losing fat will lessen the appearance, but the cellulite isn't a TYPE of fat.As previously believed to be an UNHEALTHIER type of fat that REGULAR FAT.

Just saying...

Actually YES! But I must tell you I have never worked this hard before. I guess my age and the extent of the damage is to blame. I started weight training and using a treadmill in October along with carefully watching my diet. I was not overweight, but had fat to lose and muscle to tone. I didn't take my measurements or figure out my BMI at that time I actually waited until February to do that because the scale was not showing me the results my body was feeling! Things are really started to kick in now and I just did new measurements and in just 6 weeks I have lost 6 inches and my BMI went from 19 to 15! The scale only showed a 2 lb loss but that is irrelevant to me. Still, I have some cellulite to get rid of but I can actually see it melting away a little at a time. Don't get discouraged - it does go away, but realize it will be hard work. Best of luck to you! Christine

Hi Ginie,

I have good news...yes, i have gotten rid of cellulite with diet and toning...however I read somewhere that massage was the only other method that was proven in research to make a difference to fat deposits in hard to lose areas (as a response to the ever increasing market in creams and pills). So, creams and pills....not effective....massage? YES! So creams are useful as a medium for massage, but not necessarily the creams themselves (not that I was surprised at this news).

So I did a little research of my own and (seeing as the cheapest creams would do just as well) I found Nivea "Goodbye Cellulite" for around CD$13.99, a thinner cream that quickly absorbs into the skin and contains L-Carnitine which is apparently naturally in the skin and is part of the process to convert fat.

I don't know about that for sure, but what I do know is that with daily use and VIGOROUS massage of the affected areas, with LOTS of lower extremity exercise (squats, loaded squats, walking hills, leg press exercises) the cellulite on the backs of my thighs is completely gone and my butt...well, it's disappearing slowly (was never a good part of my bod).

So thereya go...do with this what you will
