Thanks for all the info Angelfinder. I never even knew he had been engaged for a year. I wonder if they'll ever have her on as a celeb dancer?

from what it says here - I am guessing BC is her first name...just uses initials I guess.

BC Jean
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
BC Jean
Birth name Brittany Jean Carlson
Born April 22, 1987 (age 29)
Origin San Diego, California, U.S.
Genres Pop rock, soul, dance-pop, Europop
Years active 2005-present
Labels J Records (formerly)

Brittany Jean Carlson (born April 22, 1987), known better by her stage name BC Jean,[1][2] is an American singer-songwriter and actress, perhaps best known for writing the song "If I Were a Boy" which was later sung by Beyoncé and achieved worldwide commercial success.
Early life

Jean was born in Mercy Hospital, San Diego, California to a piano and trumpet-playing stockbroker father and a mother who is a talent manager[1] (John and Lori Carlson),[3] and she lived in Ramona, Valley Center and Carmel Valley.[1] At age 14, while attending Torrey Pines High School,.[3][4] Jean was already a keen piano player and turned the poetry she was learning at school into song lyrics. She also got inspiration from songs on the radio as well as her parent's music collection, which included artist such as Queen, Rod Stewart and Aerosmith. Jean later became part of a cover band in high school and had her first on-stage experience at the Sahara Casino in Las Vegas at 15 years of age.[5]
History

Jean was signed to J Records while working on a debut album with Dallas Austin, The Matrix, Max Martin and others. After signing with J, Clive Davis, The CEO of Sony Music Entertainment, said, "You eagerly wait for a multi-talented new artist to come along like BC Jean. We're all really delighted that BC has chosen us as her musical home."[6] It was later announced on October 7, 2011 that the RCA Music Group were disbanding a dozen labels of theirs, including J Records, they said that all artists from those labels, including Jean, were to move and release future material through RCA Records.[7][8]

Jean released her debut single, "Just a Guy", on September 14, 2010.[9] She also starred in the web-series Talent produced by Alloy TV on YouTube as Harper, a musician who travels to Los Angeles in search of fame. Two seasons have already aired.
Personal life

Jean currently lives in Los Angeles, California. Her grandparents, who were also music artists, were signed to RCA Records for more than 30 years. Her grandfather performed with Perry Como and both grandparents with Fred Waring.[citation needed] Since 2012, she has been in a relationship with Dancing with the Stars professional dancer Mark Ballas.[10] They became engaged on November 25, 2015.[11] Exactly a year later, on November 25, 2016, the couple got married in Malibu, California.[12]

Mark Ballas is ready to dance the night away!

The Dancing With the Stars pro married his fiancé BC Jean in a romantic ceremony Friday afternoon in Los Angeles, People reports.

Family, friends and members of the Dancing With the Stars family including best man Derek Hough, Julianne Hough, Jenna Johnson, Hayley Erbert and Sharna Burgess were in attendance for the celebration.

"It's a wild feeling," Ballas told the outlet, who first reported the exciting news. "Your wedding is something you subconsciously prepare for your entire life. You wonder who it's going to be with, where it is going to be and how the ceremony and reception are going to be. Now it's finally here and happening. It's surreal. I just want to soak it all up because I just know I'm going to click my fingers and the whole evening will be over and I want to make sure I enjoy it.

The holiday show was so good! They only danced once in the beginning and it was a fun number. Otherwise they were the MC' s.

Finally saw the finale tonight. Another fun "holiday" show. I bet they won't have that surface again outside...so slippery. Hope the camera man who fell was okay.

So....think they can cast a season with zero athletes? I have seen that question in the news feeds recently.

I was going to watch the Disney show - but couldn't stomach seeing the two of them on there.

As for Hairspray - I am so mad cause I love that show and to think they are tainting it with him---It will never be the same for me now....I will have to live with that horrid image in my head when I try to watch the movies.

I will not be watching either of them---Too bad I don't have one of those Neilson boxes for the ratings.

Was fun having a tough final four competing! Any of them could have won in my opinion. I still need to watch the final show, but wasn't successful in avoiding the news of who won.

Well, it's over.

Looks like things went well this time. The end dancers were close in points.
Calvin had 115 total
James has 117 total
Laurie had 118 total.

That is how it went down the line.
Laurie
James
Calvin.

What got me was they had it outside - OK --BUT when all the other's won - they raised the winners up on their shoulders and made a big fuss.
This time - if Val didn't pick her up and put her on that stand - none of that would of happened. I find that a shame.
Yea they talked about it being slippery- but they were able to dance all over it- they could of done that.
Now Val will tease Macks that he has 2 trophies hand he only has one. It took Maks forever to get a good partner to win that one too.
See what happens when other pros are allowed to have a decent partner----they win too--just like the other one--who lost because he didn't have an athlete, young, pro dancer.
As we said all along- give him an older person or less skilled one like the others ALWAYS get and see what he can do--NOTHING!
So yes, I will always say the fix was in for him--till people saw it and complained and stopped watching.

I will take each day as it comes.
As my grandfather always told me.."Don't ever get old,it's a ..." I should have listened to him!!

Well, looks like he ison tonight.
So the finals are here - let's see what happens.
LEN IS BACK

CALVIN-- V WALTZ---8-9-9-9 --35/40
It was nice - but nothing really special.
So Len says he is the most improved dancer.
All bragging him up.
CA - foot off the floor again ..when she wants to see it. and talk about going into the lights there.
Surprised him with his son there - going to be 2. Smiles like his dad.
Loved Tom's dig at CA about taking off a point when he lifted his son. Good for him!

If I remember right Ca,& Bruno gave 10's to Mark's fish on the floor routine.in the V Waltz.while Len gave a 9.
I find that worse than a foot off the floor- both feet were off and his body was on the floor.

I find it funny that ONLY one judges sees it and takes it off. If it is not allowed - why don't they ALL have to take it off? And why only when certain people do it?

JANA- TANGO---8-9-9-9----35/40
So last time she was hurt - now he is sick-- .
Too much time up on that stand I think - not much going on.
Feet off the floor on spin.
So CA called it - but Len say not intentional lift so why call it.
Get the rules straight- Lift or Not ...Again , depends on who it is.

LAURIE--PASO-9-10-9-10---38/40
WOW! Intense! She laid it all out there.
Len - nothing he didn't like - means no frills just pure dance.
CA liked it - Wow!

Making a prediction - CA gives James a 10...so does Juliann to put him in the lead.

JAMES- Foxtrot--9-9-9-10--37/40
So they bring on Helio- the champ---Prop????
Will Len say there s a lot of fooling around before dancing? He usually doesn't like that- so should be no more than a 9.
She tripped there on the turn.Point off.
There wasn't much to it-- but CA bragging him all up.
Juliann talking it up to - saying was the perfect FT..(So both would of been 10's).
Len didnt say about all the fussing before which he always comments on otherwise.
Bruno says he didn't see it --Really????

****************************************
***************
FREESTYLE:

JANA- 9-9-9-9----36/40 --total 71
Think the tied together got in the way.
Better when was alone. There was a trip there.
To me the lifts looked a little off- stops before , then the set up when on his shoulder.
Mess up and still gets 9's?OK
I feel bad for Gleb- he is so sick - and he did mess up - but he tried so hard for her. Those pro's really take it seriously. They didn't have a chance to win--maybe third if there.

CALVIN--10-10-10-10--40---Total---75
He's stronger and bigger than most pro's so lifts should be easier for him.
Those lifts will get him votes and points. He was good Fun to watch.
This could get him a win --or at least 2nd.
Will this be another case of one from the bottom winning again?

So they have more than just Derek as great choreographers--why don't they say that more often--like a hundred times a show like the other one.
I think the people didn't know what to make of it - to know even when to clap or if to clap.
I didn't care for it.

LAURIE--10-10-10-10--Total--78
It was good for her - like a young kid that she is just having fun!

James-10-10-10-10---77 total
Using his car wreck as motivation.
Luckily he doesn't have to remember the wreck..so no nightmares I hope.
That is going to get him the votes and the judges are playing it up.
Yes it was a good story to tell, but didn't enjoy the dance itself...But the judges sure did and built it up.
Best ever seen- extreme- memorable moments, etc --all to encourage the vote.

the ones going on ---

LAURIE---Calvin -- that last dance did it!!!----
Last chance -- James --JAna---

Jana is out.

That last dance did it for Calvin to save him.

Laurie at top--Calvin at bottom.

I will take each day as it comes.
As my grandfather always told me.."Don't ever get old,it's a ..." I should have listened to him!!

I agree with you about Terra. Too bad!

I noticed in the beginning part of Laurie's foxtrot, she caught herself from stumbling a bit and then am pretty sure her feet came off the floor when he swung her around - so where was Carrie Anne? This is a foxtrot and from what I THINK we are told, that is a no-no, or else I am starting to imagine things. Correct me if I am wrong. I didn't tape, so I can't go back and look again.

In my estimation, James is the best of the bunch. They catch him on the slightest things.

Calvin has to go - it's time.

Jana squeezed by.

Looks like the wrong person went home again tonight--at least vote wise.

Tonight - James-- Arg. Tango with his partner blindfolded the whole time-- they asked her where she got that idea from? Oh let's see --was it 2 seasons ago or so?
TOTAL --59...

Jana-- Was pretty good tonight? TOTAL - 58

CALVIN--- There was a few messed up steps in the first dance The second was pretty good -- a lot of fun.---TOTAL --56

LAURIE-- She was so right on for both dances. Everything is so perfect. LOved seeing her with VAl and MAks...Lucky girl.
Love how Val is so much for his brother. Since Maks was 17 years old he was his mentor and teacher.. TOTAL--60

Tarra-- That woman is so much fun to watch-- She tries so hard and really does a lot of things that you would think she couldn't do... TOTAL--60

So who goes home-- TArra-- the one with 2 perfect scores..and she has had higher score than Calvin for awhile now...hasn't she??? I really hoped she made it to the final 4 at least - she deserved it.

I see Calvin being the first to be eliminated next week.
I am now hoping JAmes and Laurie are the final 2---and I want LAurie to win. She has been the best all along.

I will take each day as it comes.

Yes...the right one went home this week. So hard to decide who will take the mirror ball home this season! They are all so good in different ways. I think James is my top choice though.

Really enjoyed the dance pairings. So funny watching those two guys giggling when practicing their serious faces.

Terra just exuded joy last night while dancing. She is doing so well keeping up with the others...

Guess it proves that he always was favored- by giving him the athlete, dancer, fan favorite...to make sure he wins--because when given an older, less athletic person - he is no better than the rest of the pros.

They show their favoritism so much..
Bet if he comes back next season --IF there is a next season--that he will once again have a young, nubile, athletic, fan favorite again..and again he will win.

Now the good ones are left for the semi-finals. This should be good this time.
It really doesn't matter who wins now- they all deserve it and earned it.
I have 2 favorites I would like to win--but right now - I would accept and even like any of them to win.

Going to be an enjoyable 2 weeks now.....

I will take each day as it comes.
As my grandfather always told me.."Don't ever get old,it's a ..." I should have listened to him!!

For Showstopper Week, Dancing with the Stars is pulling out all the, well, stops.

The six celebrities who remain in the competition will dance two dances on Monday’s show: one with their pro dancer partner set to a tune from one of Broadway’s biggest hits, and a second where they are paired up with one of the other celebs for a Team-Up Challenge — and PEOPLE can exclusively reveal the dances and pairings!

In addition to the night of incredible dances, DWTS fans will be treated to the return of two-time Mirrorball Trophy winner Mark Ballas. The dancer will take the stage during Marilu Henner and Derek Hough‘s samba to perform “December 1963 (Oh, What a Night)” from the musical Jersey Boys, which Ballas currently stars in on Broadway as Frankie Valli.

And Ballas won’t be the only Broadway star in Ballroom. Fresh off her starring role in the revival of Cats, recording artist Leona Lewis will perform “Memory” from the Tony-winning musical during Calvin Johnson Jr. and Lindsay Arnold‘s waltz.

Wicked and Frozen star Idina Menzel will also perform her new single, “Queen of Swords ” — and join Bruno Tonioli, Carrie Ann Inaba and Julianne Hough as a guest judge.

It is still unclear if injured pro dancer Sharna Burgess will be able to dance Monday or if IndyCar racer James Hinchcliffe will once again dance with Jenna Johnson, but read the rest of the lineup below:
Marilu Henner and Derek Hough – samba – “December 1963 (Oh, What a Night)” from the musical Jersey Boys
Laurie Hernandez and Val Chmerkovskiy – Argentine tango – “Cell Block Tango” from the musical Chicago
James Hinchcliffe and Sharna Burgess (or Jenna Johnson) – jazz – “A Brand New Day” from the musical The Wiz
Calvin Johnson Jr. and Lindsay Arnold – waltz – “Memory” from the musical Cats
Terra Jolé and Sasha Farber – Charleston – “If My Friends Could See Me Now” from the musical Sweet Charity
Jana Kramer and Gleb Savchenko – waltz – “She Used to Be Mine” from the musical Waitress

During the Team-Up Challenge, the stars will be paired together for a portion of the dance without any help from their pro partners:
James Hinchcliffe and Calvin Johnson Jr. – paso doble – Kaleo’s “No Good”
Marilu Henner and Terra Jolé – jazz – Bette Midler’s “Big Noise from Winnetka”
Jana Kramer and Laurie Hernandez – contemporary – Sia’s “Bird Set Free”

I will take each day as it comes.
As my grandfather always told me.."Don't ever get old,it's a ..." I should have listened to him!!

Glad that Ryan and Cheryl were finally sent packing.

I did not make it thru the whole show. It was a long weekend as we are slowly moving into a condo. I barely made it thru the first hour before I gave in to my bed.....lol

I missed Len. I thought he was back for good last week

Totally loved Calvin and Lindsey's costumes that were glow in the dark and totally gruuuesome! Yay! To me it was the puuurfect Halloween costumes and boy can he dance as a glow in the dark skeleton! lol emoticon emoticon emoticon

Really loved James and Jenna and Val and Laurie in their waltzes. Yes, really will miss Sharna, but James has it going on! He really is awesome, and Laurie too. Val is really an emotional guy. Really felt for him.

Totally loved Sasha and Terra's dance. So fun! And she is so cute!

Fun dances and appreciated that the evening wasn't quite as ghoulish as it has been in the past.

Sad that Sharna re-injured the knee so she's out, but appears James will do just fine with Janna.

As far as Ryan going home.... I'm okay with it. Sure he's improving, but as others have said...Cheryl is the one doing most of the dancing.

So just for fun.... which was your favorite costuming of the night? If you need a refresher, I found all of them on the yahoo recap..

DWTS IS A BIG BUNCH OF DIRTY CHEATING BULL.

There is NO WAY they should of left. They get higher scores, they win the judges vote, they win the people vote and they are off???????????????????????????????????????
???
While the one who has lowest scores, looses the judges vote, looses the peoples vote is safe??
THIS SHOW IS SO RIGGED IT IS PATHETIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If this doesn't prove what is going on - nothing will. They are so obvious it;s not even funny anymore!

THIS IS IT!!! I will finish this season--and if they are renewed for next season -- I will NOT watch unless they have extra special STARS on there that I would be dying to see and don't want to miss. Why waste time on this bunch of cheating nonsense???
I have watched since day 1 and it is so sad that they are destroying it like this!
BALONEY!

The eighth week of competition will begin with seven individual, Halloween-themed routines. The couple with the highest score will receive immunity for the night as well as five extra points added to their score. The other six couples will be paired up for Dance-Offs with either the Cha-Cha-Cha, Salsa or Jive. The winner of each Dance-Off will get an extra three points.

In terms of the Halloween dances, it's probably safe to assume Terra and Sasha are going for a Bettlejuice routine with their song, "Day-O," while Jana and Gleb could be a whole lot of fun dancing to "Little Shop of Horrors." The two highest-scoring stars, James and Laurie, will both take on the Viennese Waltz, the first time they've had the same style in the same week.

James and Sharna's song is from the Suicide Squad soundtrack and those two playing the Joker and Harley Quinn seems all too perfect. And Laurie and Val could be doing a Willy Wonka theme with their song.

Here are all of the styles and songs for the seven individual routines on Halloween Night on Dancing with the Stars.

VIENNESE WALTZ
-Laurie Hernandez and Val Chmerkovskiy: "Pure Imagination" by Jane Monheit
-James Hinchcliffe and Sharna Burgess: "You Don't Own Me" by Grace featuring G-Easy from Suicide Squad

ARGENTINE TANGO
-Marilu Henner and Derek Hough: "Sweet Dreams" by Emily Browning

TANGO
-Ryan Lochte and Cheryl Burke: "Howlin' For You" by The Black Keys

QUICKSTEP
-Calvin Johnson and Lindsay Arnold: "Dr. Bones" by Cherry Poppin' Daddies

CHA-CHA-CHA
-Terra Jole and Sasha Farber: "Day-O" by Harry Belafonte

JAZZ
-Jana Kramer and Gleb Savchenko: "Little Shop of Horrors" by Alan Menken

So flopping on the floor like a dying fish is OK even though both feet came off the ground--because it is part of a V Waltz?

If there are rules - then why does Len deduct for using props- tables , chairs, beds , other people, etc for certain pros (and not others) and the others don't?

So you can do a cartwheel over the knee--but when a gymnast does a back flip--over a mans arm- flips she has done for years by herself- it is called a lift?

Now both feet come off the ground- it's not a lift- it's a throw--Yea- like to see the person gain that distance doing it by themselves.

And if there is this strict RULE--why is SHE the ONLY one who calls it? It doesn't apply to the other 2 --because where she gives a 9 because of the lift--they give a perfect 10?

Also, watch her calls- Like I wrote about Purdy - because she didn't have legs--the rules don't say a person can do lifts if they don't have legs or they don't have to do certain moves because they can't point their toes for some reason. NO- Sorry, but it is a bunch of Bull..and that is why they are loosing viewers.

MAybe they need to say just no lifts at all .of any kind, of any sort , in any manner..then it would be fair to the older contestants.

Also this business of doing the spin in the VWaltz--it's ok as long as one toe stays on the floor at all times- but a point off if it comes off- even for a second. So tell me--how does that one toes mean they can do the move on their own but if it pops off then they can't? I'd like to see that move done without a partner holding them--whether both feet are on the ground or off.

And if a cartwheel over a knee can be done by itself--so can one over the back--especially if you are gymnast--who are mostly the ones that do it anyway.

Sorry, but I just don't buy her explanation..because I have seen others do it and not called on it--depending on who the pro is.

I will take each day as it comes.

This is a blog entry from 2013 on the lifts by Carrie....

For me, I call lifts when I see them. I always have. There is a difference, however, between a lift and move where the dancer actually lifts their own feet off the ground. Tony and Leah did a move where her feet came off the ground. But that’s not a lift. It’s more like a throw. She’s supporting herself and can do that move without the strength of her partner to hold her up. It’s not a perfect science, but that’s the main difference. So what they did was not a lift. I never call those — like a cartwheel over someone’s knee, sure, the feet come off the ground — but it’s not a lift because they can do the move on their own. I think I’m very consistent about this. It makes people angry, but I still agree with why we have the rule for the lifts, which was to keep the playing field level for the older and less physically strong contestants, so that all the dances didn’t just become show dances with lifts and tricks. This rule forces the couples to stay on the ground and really dance.

Was looking for the rules for DWTS scoring/Dancing. HArd to find it. May try to keep looking.

No lifts allowed in Rhumba--Waltz--and in V Waltz one foot MUST stay on the floor when they do that spin.

Lifts are Allowed in Latin Dances and Jive.
Freestyle allowed lifts.

I was trying to find info on what constitutes a lift exactly- but there was different versions of it.
One said if the person cannot do it themselves without aid, then it is a lift- like a roll over the back.

There was talk how Carrie Ann said herself that exceptions were given to Purdy because she had no legs so couldn't do some of the moves that others could...like pointing toes, and kept bringing up how she had to be carried up steps because couldn't climb them.
But I remember her climbing steps. Also that she had to be carried around for things.
In other words given special treatments.
How is this fair to people with just one leg, or arthritic knees, etc. They can't do everything either - but no exceptions were made for them.
They also made mention of Tarra now.

I am just sick of certain pro's being allowed to do lifts and goofy stuff, wrong stuff and getting 10's... - where we know if another did they same thing they would be getting 5-6

I will take each day as it comes.
As my grandfather always told me.."Don't ever get old,it's a ..." I should have listened to him!!

Angel, I just don't take the show that seriously. All I try to figure out is how the public will vote. I think they get both an old crowd and a young one, so that makes it more difficult. The young go for guys like Lochte (Ryan) and I think personally THAT'S the only reason why he is still around. He's a hunk.

Then there is the element of feeling sorry for some - Terra would be a good example. But isn't she a firecracker?

It looked like Marilu fell at the end of a number. Or was she pushed/thrown? She just went flying! I have to recheck that - if I get so inclined.

Also, I wouldn't be surprised if the pros sometimes get very discouraged with their partners, so they purposely give up and their routines are not very good. I suspect Derek has fallen into that category. Marilu is something else!

ETC

But I get your point. Interesting how they came to their evaluations.

I just came across this article and found it very interesting:

Dancing with the Stars Season 23, Week 6 – Dancing by the Numbers!

Another week, another bout of wackiness when it comes to judges scoring – luckily not as bad as in previous weeks. Well, perhaps I should say ‘not as widespread’ as in previous weeks because it was still pretty bad in at least one instance.

If Len had been around this week, Jana would have gotten a 7 or 8 for her Argentine Tango – I think you can count on it. He’s shown recently that he doesn’t limit that just to Derek’s partners. But he wasn’t there so the travesty of Jana getting a perfect score while the better AT is three points lower. Why? Well, I suspect that Jana has been on the bubble and the leader board this week reflects the top half (to the judges) and the bottom half…with Marilu kinda straddling the middle ground, which is quite dangerous. The judges, I think, have roughly grouped the couples in that way – with the possibility of Calvin falling out of favor and Marilu rising. I think the jury is out for them on those two couples. Everyone else is either top three or bottom three.

dwts-23-wk-6-table-1

I don’t think the judges are going to get exactly what they appear to want – one bad dance from Jana, which is scored accurately, and I think she might be toast. Of course, it depends on how long they can keep her safe – because you can be damn sure she’s safe this week. I would be very surprised if she were to be eliminated. For those wondering *how safe is safe*, for Jana to be eliminated, ALL of the following would have to happen:

Ryan and Terra BOTH would have to get 32.8k more votes per million votes cast, AND;
Maureen has to get 29.6k more votes per million votes cast than Jana, AND;
Marilu has to get 19.7k more votes per million votes cast than Jana, AND;
Calvin AND Laurie BOTH would have to get 9.9k more votes per million votes cast than Jana, AND;
James would have to get 6.6k more votes per million votes cast than Jana.

I think James, Calvin and Laurie are probably beating her, but I would be surprised if anyone else is, with her getting a perfect score. So, I’m calling Jana safe.

I’m also thinking that Calvin, Laurie and James are safe – think those three are the vote getters, although Calvin may be on the low end of that triad, simply because the sheeple have watched him get underscored for WEEKS now. I think when it eventually comes down to him and Marilu, whoever has the higher score will likely be safe. But that is likely at least two weeks away. Hopefully. 🙂 And if Jana ends up with the same score as them, she will likely be the one to depart.

So that leaves us with Marilu, Maureen, Terra and Ryan. Terra and Ryan are on the bottom and they don’t have to do too much work to be safe.

dwts-23-wk-6-table-2

As you see from the above table, they really don’t have to do a lot to get past Maureen. If each of them get 4k more votes per million votes cast than her, Maureen could be toast. But Marilu is in a dangerous spot – those two need 13.2k more votes per million votes cast to get past her, and while I don’t think BOTH of them are doing it, one of them might be. Hard to say. But I jump ahead. I’m inclined to think that Terra and Ryan both are getting the votes to beat Maureen.

Let’s assume they do – what about Maureen?

dwts-23-wk-6-table-3

If Ryan and Terra get past Maureen, Maureen would need nearly 10k more votes per million votes cast than Marilu to stay over her. I don’t believe she’s getting that. Both women are in the same demo, but Maureen is kinda needy and the audience doesn’t generally go for that – and she has Artem while Marilu has Derek. Huge difference in fanbases there.

That 10k votes makes me think that Marilu is safe. My gut says that Ryan and Terra aren’t getting past her either – I could be wrong, of course. And Marilu needs for Maureen, Ryan and Terra to not get the votes to beat her because I don’t think Marilu is beating anyone above her this week.

dwts-23-wk-6-table-4

They’ve just put a nice, huge cushion between Marilu and those above her. This is why I say Marilu is middle of the pack in the judge’s eyes – and Calvin could rejoin her in that middle unless he is nearly perfect in the coming weeks. He’s certainly not getting the slack that Laurie, James and Jana have been getting. Or should I say “was” in the case of Laurie? Nah, I’m quite sure they’ll be back to pimping her as soon as the lower tier are gone. While I’m talking about Laurie, James and Jana…

dwts-23-wk-6-table-5

As you can see from all the previous tables, these three are going nowhere this week.

So, if Jana, James, Laurie, Calvin and Marilu are all safe, that brings us back to Terra, Ryan and Maureen. Less than four thousand votes.

Ryan and Terra only need ONE vote per million votes cast for one to stay over the other. Who’s getting the one vote? No clue – I would guess Terra, but it’s hard to say. Rio seems like eons ago now. I think it’s more likely that both of them are getting the less than 4k votes per million votes cast to stay over Maureen – and that’s what would have to happen. Ryan and Terra need the 4k votes, and Maureen doesn’t get the 10k she needs to get past Marilu.

And this is my guess. Maureen goes home…and I bet they put Marilu in jeopardy for a change. Just for excitement value. Maureen is my first guess. If not Maureen, then I think Ryan. But dang, my gut is really telling me Maureen.

What does YOUR gut say?

Helen I know certain dances are allowed lifts- those aren't the ones I'm talking about.
I meant last night with the ones I mentioned - there were not to be lifts but she didn't say anything.
Seems when Mark or Derek do stuff they shouldn't points aren't taken off.
Remember when Mark was with Palin- they were doing the V Waltz and flopped on the floor like a fish. Now we all know that is not part of the Waltz--yet she gave him a 10--where was the points off for that? Yet when they spin the girls around--if One foot comes off the floor- she takes points off.How is that fair?

She even mentioned on that one dance that it looked like a lift - that it could of or couldn't of been. She never says that other times- It's immediate one point off.

The rules need to apply to everyone, not just some.
And I am only talking about the dances where lifts aren't allowed.

I will take each day as it comes.

I have never been a Cheryl fan. Mostly because of her and Drew and in the beginning of DWTS. All she is good at is teaching her partner to pose and lift her. You can tell that Ryan poses with his arms as she slithers around me.

Helen~You are right. Some of the dances allow lifts such as the Argentine tango.

Fun night of dancing overall. Maureen was just painful to watch last night. Glad she is gone because there is zero improvement and she and Artem just don't communicate well. Ryan is "okay" but he should be exiting soon as well. Probably a toss up between him and Marylou?

Felt badly for Tarra with the group dance. She did so well after all was said and done though. Her kiddos are so cute! Glad the Past team won. Enjoyed that dance so much more.

Angel - It was explained at some times in the past that Carrie Ann was the judge who watched who's feet were off the floor - but this rule JUST APPLIES TO CERTAIN DANCES! In other words, not all the dances have to adhere to that rule. I've forgotten which. Who cares, really? And I suppose that applies to lifts too.

Funny thing, I found a site last week where people were posting somewhat similar comments, almost word for word, what you write here. Interesting!

OK - Answer me this one--
Carrie ann calls out Val for doing 2 lifts in his dance.
Derek comes out and does two lifts and she says the lifts were good- just getting into and out of them weren't that good.
So why can't Val do a lift but Derek can?????????
If I remember back that far-- there was a lot f that kind of lifting going on in the dances back then. That's what made them different. I really liked the dance.

Good Molly Miss Molly ! - Loved the dance! Loved the Jive!!!--Calvin is getting better.
9-9-9-9-36 - highest so far.

Glad they gave Marylou low scores - she didn't do anything..they needed to take off one / 2 points for the lifts on top of it.

MAureen's dance was OK- there was a trip up there - but it's ok???? I am so confused at these judges.

I love to watch Tarra dance- she seems so sweet! 9-8-9-8

Now Carrie Ann calls Gleb /Jana out on the lifts! So what is going on here?
Len needs to go again! He must have Jet lag- spikey old man.

James was good- looked like the dances they did back then-- There were lifts--but weren't???? Now they are or they aren't?? Guess depends on who you were.9-9-9-9--and she talked of a lift???

Halloween show next week. And dance off!

Team dances - Part and Future--

I loved team PAST- Love that music and the dance. V Waltz.
So glad it came out so well after the trouble they had.
10-9-9-10--38--So glad they got it together.

FUTURE-- Derek-- So lets see what WILD thing he comes up with.
Funny to see Val and Sasha go to a different language like that. It just seemed so natural. I don't think it was anything against Tarra- but they do have to modify for her cause she really can't do the big moves.
Feel bad for her. IF Derek is so smart- come up with a way to work smaller moves in for her.

Sorry --but that made NO SENSE! There wasn't much togetherness or DANCE involved.
I don't think team Derek will win this time--8-9-9-9------35
Finally someone BEAT team Derek -- got to be a first - they ALWAYS say how his team always wins that.

Maureen--Jana--( after a perfect 10's??????) How could she have the lowest combined scores????
What about Ryan? HE was on the bottom all along? Pity votes!!!!

Calvin top - Marylou at the bottom.. Does that mean Derek will be in jeopardy next week???
So she is now lower than Ryan? Where is Derek's skills as a choreographer when he doesn't have someone with a huge fan base or an athlete or young?

Maureen OUT.

I will take each day as it comes.
As my grandfather always told me.."Don't ever get old,it's a ..." I should have listened to him!!
I love my furbabies!

I was channeling Len Monday night....lol He would not have like the water and bed.

I wish they would do away with the guest judges. Their scoring sucks but then again so do the others.

You can tell who they want on the show. Why keep showing negative packages of Maureen?

Janet, I was thinking of Maureen's costume as being fluff and bother - decked out like a Flamingo.

I was thinking about the shower and bed being the "fluff and bother". Trying to remember what extras were in Maureen's dance now.... That unmemorable! LOL

Janet - You forgot just the way I did! He's always at the top of MY list.

Wasn't the sexy dance done by Jana? And wasn't Maureen the fluff and bother???

Maybe I'll have to re-watch the show. . .!

It disturbs me the way Maureen screws up her face - she should put more of those gyrations into her dances. . . just my opinion

Oh yeah.... James was in my top 3 for the night. How could I have forgotten that?! LOL

I remember thinking Len wouldn't have liked all that extra "fluff and bother" from Gleb and Jana.

I really like Maureen from the Brady Bunch. And I'm glad she is getting confidence again, but I think her and Artem are bumping heads. She wasn't as good as she could have been last night. I am really liking Jana and Gleb. It's so funny, how the sexiest dance gets the standing ovation from the judges. I wonder if Len would agree. lol Still love Laurie, and I am surprised how good Calvin and James are! Really glad Amber went home. Great show!

Jana and Calvin were my favorites of the night although I think "the scene" Jana and Gleb created was a bit risque for "family viewing". I know...what isn't with this show?! LOL

Amber was the right choice to be gone from those in jeopardy. I do think Maureen or Marilu should be next.

I agree - Calvin certainly improved! He surprised me. But Maureen got scored too high in my estimation. I can't stand looking at her ! I think Amber reached her limitation. So it was fair that she was eliminated.

I came back to add that I thought Jana was the best tonight.

Ryan lowest scores- first one safe.
James safe.

MAX---Amber-- in jeopardy-

Naturally Derek is safe...Geee , never would of guessed that in million years.

Judges didn't like Taras dance tonight - but I did . Thought she did it pretty well.

I think I missed a couple of dances---fell asleep--lol
Friend called me --asked me how I liked Derek's dance- ( she likes him) - thats when I realized I was sleeping during his dance.....lol...Makes sense--bored me to sleep...lol

-Jana in Jeopardy --then has to dance.
So Jana used a bed and waterfall- Judges loved the sexy --even pit bull got into it like Bruno...lol They were good- she put everything into it.
So one in jeopardy gets 4 10's really?

Maureen is stiff.I think the judges were watching a different dance!

CAlvin--He was hot He's improving.

Laurie was good tonight- for young.

It's down to Amber and Max and Calvin and Lindsey.

OUT is---Amber is out.

I hate Max leaving--but she doesn't want to work like she needs to- always complaining. So she got what she wanted..

Ryan and Tara at the bottom this time again. Wonder when he will be leaving- I see the sympathy vote keeping him in. ..and ABC for the publicity.

I will take each day as it comes.

I think Maureen has really improved and really glad she is doing well. Still keep thinking about Sasha and Emma and how romantic the proposal was. One thing about this show, it definitely keeps your mind off about all the other things going on in the world. emoticon
