Nothing new about the movie.

Haven't heard anything new about the Stargate reboot. I'll have to check the Gateworld site. They're usually pretty good about updates and I haven't been there in a long time.

Really? Hopefully be less than two years. Re-watching old Stargates on Hulu is tiding me over.

Bumping up this old post. I've just read that the new 'Stargate' reboot will be done before the 3rd 'Independence Day' movie (even though the second ID film hasn't come out yet).

More to come!

I'm interested in seeing what the re-make will be like. I liked the original movie and loved the series.

I also got into SG1 late--I think they were actually getting ready to start airing season six when I just happened to be home with nothing to do and saw that they were showing the pilot. I watched it and was happy that they were showing several that day. After that, I caught all the ones I could and bought the DVDs when I could find a good deal on them.

I got into SG1 first, though still late in the game - during season 8. I remember watching an episode of season one when it originally aired during a time when I was recuperating from a sinus surgery and had no cable, so I was on a lot of happy drugs and had zero clue as to what was going on, or why they would even bother.

Now, it's one of my absolute favorites ever.

SGU WAS getting really good when they cancelled it. It started out a bit slow the first episode or two and then got really good and I was hooked. I keep hoping they'll bring it back and Eli will wake everyone up.

I saw the movie when it first came out in 94 (I think it was). I vaguely remember a TV show starting but it was on cable which I didn't have. In college I kind of stopped exploring my sci-fi side so I missed a lot.

I didn't start watching SG-1 until 2009. At the same time I started watching Atlantis only to find out it had been canceled. Then I watched all of SGU as it aired (I thought it was really starting to get good when they canceled it, but most people don't agree with me).

Just watched it again; have it on DVD. I actually got into SG1 and Atlantis before I ever watched the movie.

I'm curious to see what they do with it. I liked the first movie. I remember watching it when it came out (I was in high school at the time). I remember my mom liked it, too, and wasn't even into sci-fi. She just liked James Spader, lol.

It's a go supposedly for the Roland Emmerich directing and Dean Devlin producing. It's going to be a trilogy whenever they get around to it (both Emmerich and Devlin sound busy right now).

Of course none of it will be based on the shows because Emmerich hated them. emoticon
