I actually cleaned mine off for a family dinner...by moving everything onto my desk! Now I'm trying to KEEP the table cleared off, and slowly tackle the desk.

Doing my best...one day at a time.

Actually, my kitchen table was looking much better until I started to get ready to go on a trip. I piled it up with stuff that I was sorting for the trip. Now that I'm back, it's piled up again with stuff I brought back with me. Maybe I can make a dent in it tomorrow (I'd better--I know there are some receipts in the mess somewhere and I have to find them if I want to get reimbursed for the trip--it was a business trip). emoticon

I do that too!! "Just one thing" to chip away at those dreaded household chores that NOBODY likes but they have to get done. My biggest issue with that right now is the my dining room table/desk area. Piled up with papers that need to be sorted and filed, or thrown away. That's the one thing I can't get a handle on.

Doing my best...one day at a time.

Ha! I sometimes do things like that, too. But, I pile the clothes on the bed and every time I find myself going back to that part of the house I have to fold a couple of towels or some underwear or something. Eventually, it gets done. I've done that with other hated chores, too, like putting up clean dishes or washing dirty ones. Every time I pass through the kitchen, I have to put up something or wash a dish.

I used to leave everything in baskets (just pulled out of the dryer) until it was all wrinkled. I made a game out of it, and now it's all at least folded in the baskets (doesn't always get put away in the drawers/closet). Here's what I do - set a timer (I use the microwave, set to 3 minutes to heat up water for tea). When I hit start on the timer, I run down to the dryer, and start pulling out clothes, folding as I go. I try to be back up to the kitchen with folded clothes in the basket in time to beat the timer. I usually manage to beat it, too, but not always.

I don't know why I hate doing laundry so much. It only takes about 5 minutes to fold a load of clothes, but I put it off until the love seat in the den is stacked with about 4 loads and I find myself digging to find washcloths!

I'll have about eight loads of laundry to do tonight. We had some work done in the basement and the plumber showed up this morning to hook up the water to the new utility sink so I can use my washer again. It's going to take forever.

'The walking dead' was good this week. I was disappointed that 'The mentalist' was a re-run. It was supposed to be a new one, but football delayed it so much that CBS decided to postpone it. I've actually caught up on my DVR backlog for a change.

I'm just doing a little more fall housecleaning this evening. I'm hoping to work my way to the front of the house by the weekend. Next is folding and putting up about three loads of laundry!

I got in a workout, THEN turned into a couch potato (and I do it well). DVR had Once upon a Time, Walking Dead, the Good Wife, Blue Bloods....and there's still more waiting for me.

I was semi-active this weekend, but tonight's been a couch potato night for me. My knee is acting up, and since Monday is a good TV night, I thought I would be lazy ('Bones', 'Sleepy Hollow' and 'Castle'). I'll have to make up for it tomorrow, though.

And weekends seem to be the worst. I guess people are off doing other things instead of sitting at a computer. Which is a good thing, I guess.

Happy November! I hope everybody survived Halloween without eating too many treats. I did okay. Plan to take the leftover candy to work (also put some in the freezer).
