You're in Decatur, IL? That is where I was born. Moved away when I was 3 but spent all my summers there until I was 19.

I've been looking at the ads on tv for them. I'm glad to hear they work. I know they have them at Target. I think I'll go get a couple. Good thing about them is Hope, my fawnequin won't be able to reach them if we hang them high enough.
We planted a dwarf anjou pear tree when our black, Rocky died. We've never had pears grow very big. I found out why last year. We usually don't let them out for long alone. We usually go out with them because Hope likes to 'scoop' for us. I let them out and looked out the window and there was Hope up on her hind legs pulling off the last of the pears from the top of the tree.
I'm going to Target in a bit to get them.
Thanks.

LOL. I bought some herb seeds this morning. I'm hoping he won't kill them. We'll see.

Last year was the first year my dh decided to plant a garden. Let me just say it is a good thing we didn't depend on it for much food, lol, we'd be a lot thinner tho. That would be the whole NOT having hardly anything to eat, lol. No tomatoes grew, 3 ears of corn, the peppers died and zuccini never even bloomed. I don't know what he'll try this year. He planted gourd seeds but they've not sprouted since it's still so cold. OY, I hope he does better this year.

I've got some seeds I'm starting indoors for beans/peas/bell peppers. I'll put them outside the end of May.

Our weather is still not that great, lol. We planted a few roses a few weeks ago thinking that spring was here, but we've had quite a few nights in the 20's since then so I guess we were wrong. Looks like our local produce farmers won't be at the farmer's market as early this year.
