We're so geeky! We ended up going to a silent movie Halloween night! It was actually really cute. The organist played a bunch of Halloween-themed music on "The Mighty Wurlitzer", then there was an old-fashioned sing-along, followed by Laurel & Hardy's Habeas Corpus and the original Phantom of the Opera.

We even got our first trick-or-treaters! Since we never get any, we had no candy, so they got granola bars! LOL

We went bowling emoticon . They had a Halloween special - 2 hours for like 6.99 per person. I can't even bowl for a full 2 hours!

If you were wearing a costume your name went in a drawing for free bowling. An adorable little girl dressed like super woman won the free game in the first hour ... she was so excited!

Otherwise my DH handed out candy. I don't care for Halloween and I have no idea why.

Glad its over and we are on to the good eatin' holidays!

I still don't know what we're doing, but I hope everyone has a fun and safe Halloween.
Happy Haunting!

we don't do anything. very boring.

we might be going to my mother's house, but it will be to celebrate the "boy birthdays" (my b, step-father and brother in law all having birthdays within a couple of weeks of each other). that might be saturday, but might be sunday. we won't hand out candy regardless.

the town where my step-mother lives is pretty spread out, so their holloween is mandated to trick-or-treating down the main street. she lives on the main street and can see 400+ kids!

the favorite "candy" we've ever handed out (this was ages ago, when we didn't think we'd have any kids stop, so we quickly ran out of candy): microwave popcorn. we could hear the kids ask if they could eat it as they were walking away.

We rarely get trick or treaters at my house. However, a co-worker of mine gets tons. Last year, she got 100+ kids ! She bought 3-4 of those big bags of candy BJs sells.

YIKES !

I'm having a Halloween themed cycling class Friday morning. I told folks to either come in costume or wear a funny t-shirt. I'll be handing out prizes for fun. I bought a bunch of Halloween pencils and ink stamps to hand out. I've got candy too.

Yes, I'll admit it. This fitness instructor gives out candy to her class participants. We always have fun with a Halloween class. I have a skull and bone necklace I'm going to wear.

I'll let you folks know how the class later on friday.

I have never given out candy to trick-or-treaters because we are always at my in-law's house. but, i will be making an effort to that this year. i have heard we don't get many kids, so i might have a lot of candy to get rid of at work. emoticon

This year I am taking my Grandson up to my little home town where Grams and mother live. I will be taking him door-to-door up there.

Then I will join my grams and sister in handing out candies later in the evening when the older kids are still out. This is a family tradition for us, sitting with her and watching her hand out candy.

She averages about 75 to 100 kids each year.

When I was younger, I use to dress up and go out on the town with friends. Those days are behind me now. LOL

I usually work Halloween, but I just got the weekend off. Now what?

What are your Halloween plans? Are you dressing up? Do you get a lot of trick-or-treaters in your neighborhood?

We've been in our home for 2 Halloweens and not a single trick-or-treater!
