"diet-wise" I suppose things fluctuate somewhat with holiday-related times. But with exercise I did find it hard to do winter runs... I'm hoping that by the time this rainy season comes along that I'll be in such a groove for running that I won't wuss out as easily.

I actually do better with structured exercise in the Winter when I stay indoors and use my equipment to workout. In the Summer I am busy but have found it is really not a good cardio workout for losing fat or building muscle. Just a calorie burner.

No. For me it has more to do with motivation than seasons.

I've been dieting since I was 10, so there is not a time of year I have not been trying to lose weight. I've regained about 10 pounds of the 40 I've lost since 2002, so I'm recommitting in September. Which is a good thing. Fall seems to be a very successful time of year for me to drop a couple of pounds. The summer party/picnic season is over. The holidays haven't yet started. The weather is pleasant for bike rides and hikes. It just works for me.

How about you? Do you find one season easier to diet in than another?

When I was 5 years old, my mother always told me that happiness was the key to life. When I went to school, they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I wrote down happy. They told me I didnt understand the assignment, and I told them they didnt understand life. -John Lennon
