I had to check out the Operation Beautiful website. Thought it was pretty cool. Truth is, I've been leaving waitresses notes on my tickets for years! I think they have one of the hardest jobs in the world. They are so grateful when they get even ONE positive comment from a customer. I think you can always find something nice to say to someone else. It's myself I have a hard time saying something nice to!

I am afraid if I left notes to myself around the house, my family would have me committed! They already think I'm slightly nuts (in the best possible way of course).

That said, I do like what you have put on your scale, Karen. That's pretty much what I have been trying to say to myself everytime I weigh-in lately. Just trying to keep it positive for sure, because it's so easy to get discouraged.

I'm with Twist on this one. I just try to keep the negative at bay and smile every week or two and that seems to work emoticon

That said, being negative doesn't work either, so I just try to be the best me I can be.

Y'know, the whole positive affirmation thing has never really been my thing.

That whole, I'm good enough, I'm smart enough and gosh darn it, people like me! stuff just always seems fake. I much prefer to concentrate on not allowing negative talk to creep up.

Folks, check out this link to today's Daily Spark. I think it's a great idea. Mind you, it's not a new idea. It's a form of daily affirmation or power of positive thinking sort of program.

What you do is leave positive notes for yourself i.e. you are beautiful just the way you are. And you put them everywhere, like in chalk on your driveway, on your car windshield, on your scale, etc...

I think it's a great idea and here's what I am taping to my SCALE.

"I will not allow a piece of machinery to determine my self worth". Coach Nicole supplied the quote from another blog. It think it's exactly what I need to see every time I want to step on the scale because I'm worrying about my "weight".

So, what are you going to write to yourselves ?
