I really don't like to, which is another reason to be glad I'm quitting my part-time job. There's a little tiny fridge there, and NOTHING else. No microwave, no coffeemaker, no break room or sitting area, and we don't get any official breaks. I'm not sure that's even actually legal-- sometimes it's a 14-hour shift without a meal break. No choice but to eat at the desk. And let me tell you, it's hard to come up with a full day's meals when you can't heat anything up. I'm usually starving when I get out of there. But I only have 4 more shifts there, so I'll survive.

Yes, I usually eat lunch at my desk. On nice days though I like to take my lunch outside to the mini park that's on our building site. There's a table in the shade by the lawn and it's really nice when the weather's pleasant like it is now.

Yes..I have my salad at my desk. We have a full cafe on site but the calories that you could consume down there are enough to give me nightmares.

Dee, I wish! I have to truck things through the waiting room to get to the fridge, microwave and sink, then it's right out there in the middle of the building. Kind of feels weird sometimes, since I am eating frequently.

Yep. Got a micro + a small fridge in here. I do have to go down the hall to rinse out my dishes though.

Yep, eating now! I think people here think I eat all the time because when I'm eating right, I'm snacking a lot, and it takes longer to eat a serving of something when I'm working, too.

What do I eat? Well, right now, bing cherries. I don't have time to stop for lunch officially, so it all happens right here and I feel like I've become some kind of desk, working, eating pro! Lets see, this week I've been munching on grapes, bananas, cherries (I went to the grocery, can you tell?) I eat weird stuff sometimes because I like lots of flavor. I mix FF cream cheese and zero calorie buffalo wing sauce and dip that out with celery sticks. Lots of salsa and pretzels. Smart Ones frozen meals, sandwiches, wraps, crackers and laughing cow cheese Dried fruit, rice cakes. Need I continue?

I wish I was good at planning ahead more and making a lunch. But usually I just bring the things to make a sandwich. Sometimes I have leftovers if I have found time to cook, that is!

Good topic, I'm always anxious to hear more ideas of pickupable, not too messy foods!

Sometimes. I don't always work while I'm eating, sometimes I'll read email, surf the net, play an online game. If I drive to work I usually go home to eat.

And every so often I eat in the small conference/lunch room with coworkers, just so I don't seem antisocial :-)

Yes, I do and I shouldn't since I work out of my home. SIGH It is one of my bad habits I need to break...sort of like eating in front of the TV. I need to STOP multi-tasking when it comes to meals. LOL

Umm, so thats where they hide the fridge. emoticon emoticon

Do you eat at your desk ? If you don't eat at your desk, where do you eat lunch ? Do you have a lunch room ? Maybe you eat at a restaurant/diner ?

I eat at my desk. Our new location no longer has a kitchen. So, it's either eat at my desk or in the conference room. The conference room is where the microwave lives now. You don't want to know where the fridge is. ;) It's not in the conference room.

I'll tell you this much, the bubbler (water fountain) is in MY lab area !
