As you weigh yourself each week, SP will change the calorie requirements according to your weigh in.

Now, on your start page, on the left bottom you can see where you can change your goals and put in your weight and figure out how much you want to lose and how long it will take. Change those figures and sp should give you a guideline for calories.
You can enter in what you were given there perhaps by the sister site.

I am not sure if this will work, but give it a try and see if the calories allotted change.

Don't leave!

You may want to consider contacting the La Leche League in your area. There is no group in the world with more information about breastfeeding and milk production. They are incredibly helpful, and may be able to guide you in making the best decision for getting into shape while maintaining healthy production.

Okay, I started a fake account and discovered SparkPeople won't let you use the site (or at least calculate for you) if you're breastfeeding. They direct you to a sister site, babyfit.com. While it's nice they have a special site for pregnancy and post-pregnancy, I don't want to leave the friends I have here and start over with a new group. They should give the option here as well!

But I digress. According to that website for my height and weight and BF I should be taking 2210-2510 calories/day. I decided to take off 500 calories/day for the hoped for 1 lb/week weight loss and got a range of 1710-2010 calories/day.

It's enough to make me want to BF my kid until he's 18!

I see the mechanics behind the calculations there, but how do I go about resetting my range, like I was starting from scratch? I'm wondering if I have to create up a fake account just to re-do the calculations. It seems like I shouldn't have to do that though!

I've been trying to lose the same 5-8 pounds for so long, I haven't changed my calorie goals in ages!

I looked around the site a bit and I can't seem to find the calorie calculator. It must be here somewhere!

When you find it, let me know where it is!

Is there somewhere on the website where we can have our daily calorie requirements recalculated? I thought there was, but I've forgotten so much that I'm still wandering around SP again like a newbie.

I'm still nursing my son, and know I have to add extra calories for that, but don't know how many. I want to readjust my numbers so I don't get chided every day for going over my targets, but don't know what numbers to use.
