Anarie, it's interesting that you mentioned leeches. Do you know that there are medical researchers using leeches as a means of re-attaching severed fingers ?

I saw a PBS show on this. It was fascinating. Maggots are also used to clean infected wounds. I know, sounds nasty, but it seems to work.

Of course, how many SP members ask how effective colon cleanses are for jump starting their weight loss ? Some things never change.

I am speechless. Totally flummoxed.

We make all kinds of faces when we read about how 500 years ago people thought leeches would cure heart infections, or they took arsenic to clear up their complexion, or drilled holes in somebody's skull to let the demons escape. But people haven't changed at all. Instead of demons or "bad humours," now it's "toxins" that the witch doctors try to cast out, and people pay them for it.

I've seen even relatively intelligent people get sucked into some of these wild claims --- just out of desperation. It really is sad.

But what is this company thinking!? LOL -- the last thing I need is something to make my boobs SMALLER!! duh! emoticon emoticon

Vicki, Dee, Miss Twist... you're in luck. not only does the company have a detoxifying bra, but they have cellulite reducing panties too !

You know, it's bad enough when companies like Coke add vitamins to their soda and then claim the drink has health benefits. I've seen it. Diet Coke+, the plus are the vitamins.

However, just who thinks wearing a special bra or panties will cause cellulite to dissolve ? Do they really think people are that dumb ?

what does that even mean "detoxify your breasts"???

"Solidea claims its compression clothing is clinically proven to break down, liquefy and drain fat melting inches off tummy, hips, and thighs and even cure cellulite."

where does this drained fat go??? and i didn't realize that cellulite was a disease...

okay, i can't even read anymore. and yes, i think people are that gullible.

(i would like to note that chiropractors ARE medical doctors)

If there were a way to get rid of my lumps and bumps...I would be all over it. BUT, like anything being offered today, I think this one plays on the desperation of those dealing with it.

I am NOT this desperate yet. I think I will keep on with the exercise. :)

If it promised to detoxify your breasts as well as reduce cellulite ? According to ABC News, there is a lingerie company claiming to have a bra that will banish cellulite. They profiled it on Good Morning, America.

Personally, I can't believe the gal some manufacturers have. Do they really believe the public is that gullible ?

You can check it out here.
