My short term goal is to lose 2 pounds before Thanksgiving. My body/brain seems to think I need to store up some fat for winter! Urg!

Yule is December 22 this year. It is always the day of the winter solstice. It is a pagan holiday. I am trying to move away from using holidays that relate to a religion that I am not. So we are celebrating Yule in our house this year.

My November goal is to get at least 1000 minutes of (cardio and strength training) exercise and an average of at least 10,000 steps per day.

I want to lose at least 15 pounds by New Year's Day.

My number one short-term goal is to get back into tracking my food. I fell off track due to a couple of family issues that have come up recently. I allowed those things to steal my focus.

My other short-term goals are to get 9 servings of fruits and vegetables a day and to make it to the fitness center at least 10 times this month.

Mine is to develop a reliable healthy eating and exercise routine by the time my baby is born (she's due 1/14/08). That way I'll lose all sorts of weight while breastfeeding!

Ravyn, when is Yule? Good for you on proving your mom wrong!! I totally think we can lose weight through the holidays! We just have to plan and be careful, but it's totally do-able! And it's that much less weight you'll have when everyone else is starting their New Years Resolutions! :)

I am hoping to lose a total of 25 lbs by Yule. My husband just wants me to consentrate on making it to each of my mini rewards.

My mother has said I can't lose the weight with the holidays, so I am out to prove her wrong!! emoticon She makes me so mad at times. She tells me I need to lose the weight, but then tries to knock me down when I am!!

I've noticed that a few of you have some short term goals, like by Christmas or by a birthday. What is your next short term goal?

Mine is to be in size 16's by Christmas. I'm not sure what weight that would be. I kinda breezed through 16's a few years ago, almost directly skipped from 14's to 18's. :( Anyway, right now I'm comfortably in 20's, and can squeeze into 18's.
