I live a bachelorette life style, so I don't have to worry about the people around me eating unhealthy foods, but I do have a terrible habit of eating when I'm bored. It's an awful habit I developed as a child and if I'm not busy in the evenings or on the weekends, I can put away a ton of food before I ever realize what I'm doing.

Luckily this weekend I have a ton of cleaning to do (bonus cardio minutes!) followed by decorating for Halloween and finishing my costume!

Kara, sounds like you have a busy weekend. Look at your sneaker it is almost across the finish line. Great job.

I'm a nurse and work every third weekend. This weekend I'll be at work. Sat. and Sun. are 12-hour shifts, so I don't do much besides work, eat a couple of meals, and sleep. Sat. AM right after work I have my weekly WeightWatchers meeting. Sunday morning I am supposed to sing in church with the choir, but not sure I'll get out of work in time to make it ... usually don't. Most likely I'll be busy enough to avoid temptation.

I'm losing my job so I'll spend tonight updating my resume and starting my job search. Saturday morning will be very busy with Scouts. We have an early morning activity and then we're going to a rocket launch. Some of the rockets will be taller than me (6'2"). Then in the evening my kids will be in a marching band competition. So, Saturday at least will be fun. Sunday we'll sleep in, go to church and then spend a fun filled evening together. I hope you all have a great weekend!

Wow Kris you have a lot of temptations ahead of you. Taking snacks with you is a great idea, drink lots of water and try to stay away from things like chips and sodas. Please let us know how your weekend went. You will get in lots of walking that is for sure.

I'm going to a big dinner party for a friend's birthday tonight. Luckily I don't like alot of the stuff on the menu. I hope I can find a few healthy, yummy items to eat.

Tomorrow my family and I are going to Six Flags amusement park. It will definitely be a hard task finding healthy food options there. But hopefully I can find a few things here and there and plus I'll be walking the whole day, so that should help. I'll bring some Myoplex Lite bars with me so I can avoid all the snacking.

Sunday we are going to a Halloween party at my daughter's gynastics school. After that, we're going to the pumpkin patch. Another place with very little to no ealthy food options.

Any suggestions for me are welcome!!

My husband used to cook a lot for us when he was out of work and I was working 2 jobs. He is really pretty good at light stir-fries and if I leave a simple recipe he can usually manage, if not, his mother lives near by and he calls her!! LOL

I'm going to my Mother's for the weekend so she can see her grandbaby... I think this should be ok. We normally use this as an excuse to eat out and generally be really bad about diet. This time I'm going to let cook for us and she's checking out some healthy recipes. She'll enjoy it and so will I... Win-Win!

She also has a very stubborn basset hound that I'm planning on walking a couple of times while I'm there for some exercise.

Quit trying, start doing!

Yes Spark does have an article about eating out and it is very helpful. If you know what the restaurant is then you can kind of plan what to have. Stay away from chinese it is full of calories.

Ravyn sounds like you have your plan already. Hope your DH sticks to it. My DH doesn't even know how to boil water. LOL

I work weekends, so I pack breakfast and lunch to take to work. I keep things on hand for sandwiches, or wraps for lunch and usually take cereal for breakfast and round it out with yogurt, soymilk and toast. Dinners are usually something quick unless I put it in the crockpot. We used to have hamburgers a lot on weekends, but my husband is going to step up and start helping cook. I plan a menu now and leave him the recipes. We will see what happens.

This weekend is going to be really hard on me. My parents are coming into town and they really don't eat that great and they are picky. So if I make food for them it will be what they like and if we go out to eat...well that is a challenge in and of itself. I know there is an article on SP somewhere that talks about making healthy choices while eating out..I will have to try and find that one. But I WILL BE VICTORIOUS! LOL

I know for myself the weekend used to be the hardest time. The family was home and they could eat anything. So what are your plans for this weekend and how will you get through?

If you have a plan ahead of time it usually makes it easier. Plus we can all help each other get through those times.
