All the lunches sound good!

Jennifer, I have done that myself...it is easy to forget a few items now and then. Your Chick-Filet sandwich sounds great, though.

I had left-over Chicken Curry.. and water! emoticon

I got to the lunchroom today and I was all excited about my yummy roast beef sandwich. When I opened my lunch container I was so dissapointed that I had forgotten the bread!

emoticon

But, I recovered and bought a Chick-Filet sandwich. Tasty! And with a few adjustments stayed in my range.

emoticon

I also had fruit salad and Crystal Light Peach tea.

Yesterday, I had chicken alfredo florintine tv dinner. And had a grilled cheese sandwich too. I had been doing a lot of heavy cleaning at work and the tv dinner wasn't enough, so had to make do with what was on hand at the group home.

Kids are home today for lunch. Not sure what we will do, but has to be kid friendly because my son is a very, very, very picky eater!!

There's a fellowship meal at my church, so that's where I'll have lunch today. It will be sloppy joes and I am not sure what else. Usually there's fruit and veggies and healthy salads, though. I can have my sandwich just the filling or open face on half a bun, so I can make the church meal fit in my day.

I usually eat my big meal at lunch, too. I usually eat whatever's on the plan but I don't always eat everything when it says to.

I splurged today and went out to eat at Au Bon Pain (who have all their nutrition info on their website). I had a large bowl of Harvest Pumpkin soup and a Tuna Garden Salad for a total of 630 calories. I didn't finish the salad, so it's really a bit less than that, but I did have all the tuna salad, which was probably where most of the calories came from.

This only leaves me about 200 - 500 calories for the day, but I'm working tonight, and won't have time for more than light fair while I schmooze, so that should be more than enough.

I'm a teacher, so whatever I pack has to be quick to heat and eat! I had a lean cuisine panini today and some grapes. Sometime I just pack a salad and chicken breast or tuna. I ALWAYS pack my lunch the night before, it's become a ritual.

CAZ_NJ - I would think vitamin water would count.

hello, sorry I'm responding so late but I just figured out how to get back to my posts. LOL anyways, I'm not a morning person and know I should be for my health but when I eat before 11am I get nauseated. I know that sounds crazy but I do try to eat whatever I can and opt for a protein bar or a handful of dried fruit whenever I can. Thanks for the advice.

I'm having tuna w/ light mayo on a wheat pita, a 100 calorie snack bar, and reduced fat cheez-its. Quick question, does anyone know if vitamin water should count as part of the 8 cups of water per day?

I ended up having this choice:

Shredded Beef and Potato Soup with Chimichurri, with a Spunky Corn Muffin (corn muffin with shredded cheddar and a jalapeno in the batter), but instead of the tossed salad I had 1 oz of Cabot 50% less fat white cheddar cheese. Tasty lunch!

Took a good long walk this morning with dog and kids, worked up a bit more of an appetite. Ended up with South Beach wrap kit and the cottage cheese doubles!

Wendy, yours sounds really good. I haven't had shrimp in awhile and asked hubby to make a shrimp recipe later this week.

Left over shrimp kabobs from dinner last night. It's shrimp, tomato, mushroom, bell pepper and onion with lime juice (because we didn't have a lemon), cajun seasonings and garlic. Yum!! Lots of flavor, no fat.

Today will be leftovers from the last few nights' dinners. I have a few choices:

French Onion Soup ... with the french bread crouton and shredded cheese melted on top, fresh fruit or veggies to complete the meal

Pork Loin with Lemon-Thyme Sauce, with a baked potato and some frozen veggies or a salad

Shredded Beef and Potato Soup with Chimichurri, with a Spunky Corn Muffin (corn muffin with shredded cheddar and a jalapeno in the batter), with a tossed salad

All are WeightWatchers or other healthy recipes. It's a rainy, dreary day ahead, so I think I'll choose one of the soups, but depends on which leftover option hubby wants, too.

Which would you choose?

Today was subway club 6" on wheat with baked Lay's BBQ chips. It was lunch on the run because it was shopping day. I take lunch to my husband every other friday when I do the shopping and subway was the healthiest choice for something fast!!

Oh had cheese and lettuce only on it. No mayo or dressing although they tried to get me to add it like 3 times!!!!

I am at home and run a home based daycare so taking care of everyone definitely seems to come first. SOmedays I wonder why I am famished a 3pm only to realize, I forgot about me and other days I find I am just picking as I make the kids meal. So I am trying this week to also make myself a nice salad or something to sit down and eat with the children. Need to get more protein in there though-maybe add some nuts or do up a few chicken breast to add in at the beginning of the week.

I know what you shouldn't have - I had Fazoli's Chicken broccoli penne bake. With chicken and broccoli I thought it would be healthy... but it was 810 calories!! That's what I get for not checking first!

I have a problem with portion control and I work in a high school cafeteria. So I take my lunch every day. Got to be something easy I can eat at my cash register a lot of times. Usually it's healthy choice or lean cuisine.

Belly Dancer, I'm sure you hear this a lot, but you should try and grab something (even something small) for breakfast. When we sleep we go into a sort of mini-hibernation, and our metabolism slows down. Breaking your eight our fast will speed it back up, which is a big plus when you're trying to lose weight.

Okay, I promise, that's the last of the unsolicited advice. ;)

Not much of a lunch person if I have breakfast. If I skip B/F then I'm usually in the mood for a Subway sandwich with a diet soda. My meals don't very much when I don't plan ahead. My office is kinda out of the way so my options are limited.

I'm at work during the day, in the middle of downtown Boston. I used to love going to KnowFat, but since I changed jobs, I can't really get to one conveniently. These days I pack a "fit & fresh" box (sort of like a bento box with a built in ice pack) with an assortment of things to nibble on throughout the day (hummus & rice crackers, raisins, kashi crackers, nuts, granola, etc), plus some fresh fruit that travels well. I find this keeps me satisfied for fewer calories than trying to eat a whole big meal at once

I usually have a cheese and tomato sandwich on whole wheat bread. It's also when I have my one diet soda a day.

Minions! I need minions! Barring that, I'll take a non fat sugar free chai latte.

I am home during the week by myself!! Today it was a baked potato (142 g) with shredded cheddar cheese (10 g) and turkey lunch meat (2 oz). I usually have a serving of fruit, but passes on the orange today because I am full!! I also hit a lot of the Lean Cuisine and Healthy Choice entrees because it is easy to fix for one.

I love Subway also. We have that a lot on Sundays. I get the turkey on wheat without mayo or anything. It's yummy, love their bread.

I've been frequenting Subway. I get a turkey on wheat and a bag of baked lays. Some days I'm full from just the sandwich. If I'm really hungry, I get double meat. It doesn't add a whole lot calorie wise and fills me up.
