Thanks, Ravyn. I have never enjoyed drinking large quantities of water, so that has been a challenge, but, I am doing it! You are doing great, too! We will get there!
Thanks again.

Yes, we have no bananas. If hubby goes out one more time and does NOT come back with bananas, I might wear a banana costume to remind him, LOL.

Today's breakfast:

Thomas Light Multigrain English Muffin with
2 tsp Smart Balance Light Buttery Spread with Flax

and a Yoplait Light yogurt, Blackberry flavor

Not sure yet what I'll have this morning, but I am leaning toward something hot. We've had cool, damp weather and it's starting to "sink into my bones"!

Maybe two slices Brownberry Double Fiber bread, spread with 1 tsp reduced-fat peanut butter, with a banana sliced and put on top.

Or hot cereal?

I have found that my day doesn't start until I have breakfast and I need to have a little protein (it keeps me fuller longer). Today I had a light yogurt mixed with a little cottage cheese, piece of wheat toast and a little butter spread.

I usually try to have a whole grain bagel with some natural peanut butter or some low-fat cottage chesse with no sugar added fruit. Just make sure you eat breakfast guys! I changed that and at smaller meals through the day and have lost 10 pounds my first week!

Here's what I eat 5 out of 7 mornings. It's actually one of my very favorites and I think it is because I came up with it myself and it works for me. When I get time, I make up 5 bags at a time (for the week). One serving fits into a "snack" size ziplock baggie. All the dry ingrediants go into the bag, and all I have to do is pour it into a leftover bowl and add my milk and apple, put on the cover and I'm done. I may even submit this recipie to SP. I see that there are a lot of different oatmeal recipies, but I haven't seen one exactly like mine. I'll share it with all of you. Let me know if anyone tries it. If I get good responses, I'll submit it to SP.

Calories:385
Fat:12gm (good fat)
Carbs:58 (fiber=8gm !)
Protein:14
*Iron (19%)!!!
& a fruit serving to boot

1/2 c WHOLE oats (Quaker or generic) oatmeal. Not
the instant kind!
3/4 c skim milk
3/4 c chopped up apple (leave the peeling on)
2 Tb chopped walnut pieces (about the size of a pea)
1 & 1/2 tsp Splenda Sugar Blend for Baking
1 tsp cinnamon

Combine one recipe of oats, walnuts, sugar, and cinnamon into one snack size ziplock baggie. Make as many as you want, keep all inside another larger ziplock bag or air tight container. Use when needed.

B4 going to bed, combine one ziplock packet into a bowl (with some sort of cover that fits). Add milk and apple chunks. Cover and let set overnight in the refrigerator.

Next morning, cook bowl of oatmeal in microwave for about 1 minute, with cover loosly across the top. Check and stir. If more time is needed, add 30 second intravols so as not to boil over your oatmeal breakfast.

You can add almonds instead of walnuts. You can also add more milk if you like your oatmeal runny. Any alterations, and the nutrition counts may not match what I have listed above, but you get the idea. There are so many variations and combinations a person could come up with.

Please, any feed back would be great if anyone makes this. I welcome bad criticism as well.

Enjoy and I'll catch up with all of you tomorrow.

-YOYO

Same thing as yesterday, a Thomas' light multi grain English Muffin with whipped cream cheese and a cup of green tea.

Actually I decided to add a stick of light string cheese too.

I wondered how those morningstar crumbles were!! I didn't care for the sausage links. Have you tried the bacon strips yet? My husband constantly wants bacon, and I am trying to find something less fatty!! He won't even allow turkey bacon in the house!!! emoticon He cooked to much of it for Boy Scouts!!! He worked in the kitchen for 6 summers in a row.

Since I'm on vacation and trying to use up the food we bought, I have made a strange concoction the last two days: Morningstar crumbles fried with an egg white and folded with american cheese. It's actually quite good!

I had an Advocare Chocolate Meal Replacement Shake with a banana blended in it.... I am doing a 10 day cleanse and am really trying to stick to it... I am soooooo not a shake person but these are good... I have to go to a convention in Vegas in 2 weeks and I think I am going to bring them with.... all they serve at breakfast are sweet rolls and sometimes fruit.... LOL... I WILL be taken advantage of all the free water bottles! Vegas H2O really sucks... almost as bad as Utah water....
Get good protein and fiber in the morning... it soooo makes the rest of the day better... the first 3 days and the last 3 days of the cleanse has a AM fiber drink before the protein shake... I really did notice the difference.

Good luck to all!

I am used to measuring out portions because we do it at work for the clients. We use the serving spoodles and measuring cups for everything at work. I have found that my meat portions are off if I don't use the scale though. I do recommend that if you are going to weigh something to use a good quality diet scale, I had a cheap one that was off by almost .4 ounces!!!!

Sounds like everyone is making healthy choices. Do you mind weighing out the portion size? That used to be the hardest part for me, getting my portions down. Now it is just second nature. So if you hate that part don't worry it will get easier.

A serving size of fiberone cereal with 1% milk. Fiberone doesn't taste so great but I need the fiber so I just deal with it. I need to start having a piece of fruit around 10am though.

Kara, I just started trying the Curves cereal since it was on sale last week. I like it. How many points would your breakfast be on WW? I think there are several here that are doing WW's too.

Katherine, I have a box of one of the Curves cereals, but didn't try it yet. My mom said it's very good. I'll try it soon --- right now I have several boxes of cereal open and want to finish something off before opening another.

Today's breakfast:
Frosted Cheerios (1 cup)
1 banana
4 oz 8th Continent Fat-Free Vanilla Soy Milk on the cereal

It's logged in my SparkTracker. I have my trackers visible and usually get (at a minimum) my breakfast logged each day. The other meals I log as I have time here on SP, because I log them all on WeightWatchers.

Breakfast is a very important way of kick starting your healthy eating. It starts your metabolism each morning and gives you energy. So what did you have this morning?

I had curves cereal, with raisins and non-fat milk.
