I'm having an okay weekend, no restaurant meals and on track with my eating. Hubby and I are having fun planning meals to make at home in the week ahead.

How did your weekend go? I did eat out and I had the veggie fajitas as planned. Luckily the chips and salsa weren't very good. The chips tasted like they had been fried in old oil, very easy to leave alone! We went to a new restraurant that had been written up in our local paper as the best new Mexican place in town. I was not impressed! Of course, they didn't say it was better than the old places! I managed to stay in my calorie range, even with a small margarita!

No snow here, thank goodness! We are still picking up tree limbs from the ice storm. This weekend should be okay for me. I have been back on track (calorie wise, I have always kept up with exercise.) I usually can stay in the zone once I get on a streak. I may eat out, but if I do I can have veggie fajitas. If I can skip the chips and salsa that would great! Have a great weekend and make good choices!

Katherine, glad you all enjoyed the movie. I ate too much the past few days, too! I will have to complete a couple extra walks over the next few days! emoticon It has been a great holiday, though! I guess I better post my walk for the day in the exercise thread... I can handle the exercise of the day today, too! It is a lot easier than some have been.

I hope you all have had okay weather. Anymore snow?

Several parties and a trip to the bar with friends this weekend. I couldn't resist the dessert offered at my husbands x-mas party friday night. I am off the weekend overnight shifts though. I didn't track the calories, but know that I was over. 6 rum and cokes friday night at the bar probably was enough to take up all my calories for Friday!!! LOL

OK it's weekend time again. What are your plans?

We are having a party Friday night so I know I will not be good. Will eat a lot of fruits and vegies during the day so to save my calories for the night. Though I'm usually so busy I don't have time to eat.

Saturday recoup day, and Sunday we are going to a pot-luck and caroling with our Church. So will have to make something healthy so I know there will be something I can eat.

Hope every one else has some fun plans this weekend.

I am off the hook for weekend overnights now, unless this gal gets fired! I am planning our meals and taking it easy this weekend. Just working my 16 hrs and coming home to do the holiday decorating. Need to get busy on the homemake holiday gifts for my family too.

The weekend is here again. Any major plans for any one? It is going to be a quiet weekend. Company will be gone and will finally be able to get totally back on track.

I'm fixing a turkey dinner tonight and will have the left overs for the weekend. So turkey and vegies will be my main staple.

Only problem with that was I had to work the overnight Saturday. It left hubby in the kitchen!! Had to have a plan and give him the recipes!! Lady help us if he has to plan a meal that I will be able to eat and not go way over calories. Most of what he cooks is fried, or covered in bacon!! emoticon

Head fell on the pillow and I couldn't get it to re-raise!

OK, tomorrow I work a half day: good long workout planned, (stretch) cardio (stretch)and strength (stretch). Come home and cook veggie bean soup. Do some prep work for basement sale. Do some home maintenance stuff. Grocery shop for dinner on Sunday.

Sat: More house stuff. If it is 45 degrees or more and not raining I will go to metropark and put in 3 to 4 miles. If not, to the gym! Cereal, apples, TLC crackers, veggie bean soup, salad, banana, yogurt, chicken breast, tea w/Splenda, maybe coffee. Make spinach/mushroom/ artichoke lasagna rolls.

Sunday: Half pack of granola bars.M etroparks again, if possible. If not, to the gym! To bread shop and to my Mom's with lasagna rolls! Add salad and apple tart. Watch football, go to library, go to Uncle Mac's wake. Come home watch videos and eat cereal. Prep for work (only 2.5 days!!)

Any suggestions?

We are traveling so you can imagine what kind of things will be available to eat. I'm don't even like fast food hamburgers any more so that is a good thing. Probably will stick to salads and take some healthy non-refrigerated snacks. It is a two day drive so I don't drink much. There aren't a lot of places to stop in Wyoming or Utah for potty stops. LOL

Great!! Someone started this thread, just what I need. Weekends, especially weekends we get paid (every 2 wks) are horrible for me!!

Right now, my family is supposed to plan weekend meals tonight at dinner. After dinner I make a list of anything we need to get for those meals and go to the store. Husband and kids have divided up the household chores related to meal prep for the weekend. I am also considering doing batch cooking on the weekdays, Thurdays and Fridays, to accommidate my work schedule for the weekends.

Part of my weekend plans are to make sure I have healthy foods in the house... for instance, ingredients for fruit smoothies etc.

Also, eating out can be a problem on the weekends, so in that case, to make sure I watch the portions.
