Saw my doctor today and I have to lose 20 lbs by the end of February. He did not put an amount on me but that is the amount I am putting on myself. That is 4 lbs a month. I can do this. Carol

Saw a picture of myself at the guild day on Saturday. I have turned into a frumpy old woman. Oh, well. And I definitely put myself back on the program yesterday. Nice salad for lunch and it tastes so good. Why not? Carol

Agree Carol. I've noticed if I eat past full, I pay for it in misery after. So, I'm trying harder not to just shovel it in and listen to my body more.

Quitting eating when you are full is key. I've noticed that I seem to be paying more attention to fullness when eating instead of finishing the meal. Carol

I am sticking to my no sugar and have also noticed that the less I "diet" the less I am obsessed with food. I quit eating when I am full and say no to unhealthy foods more often.

One thing I have noticed, I seem to have a set point for food. When I am full, I quit eating. I brought half of dinner home last night and in the past, at my heaviest I would have finished it off. That is a good habit to have. Carol

Its time to get back to BLE and lose 5 lbs and then ten more. The good news is that I'm not gaining. The bad news is that I'm eating too many carbs. Time to get back into veggies. Carol

Good Job Carol! The Fit Doctor told me that I had a well proportioned body. That was nice to hear even though tummy fat exists. She also said my left shoulder was higher than my right. The likely cause is that I carried my textbooks and wallpaper books, binders etc in my left arm mostly. I would try to balance books but my left side was the preferred side to carry. Makes sense why it would be higher. The left side is also the side where they removed the lymph nodes and my arms is recovering nicely. Carol

My doctor was very happy with my weight loss. My next appointment is in 4 months. I plan to continue losing and keep my numbers where they belong.

After getting measured at the Fit and Fashion class, I have a lot of fat around my middle. The Jury is in and I guess you could say I'm an apple with long arms. My arms were like 4" longer than the pattern. And broad shoulders. At least I dont have that dowagers hump with slope shoulders. Time to lose again. I really am too fat. Carol

I met all of my August goals (not going to retype here but I went back and checked and I did)

September goals

1. Lose 5 pounds
2. Finish Row Robin Row
3. Start reorganizing sewing room
4. Continue to track

My August goals were:

1) get 10,000 steps daily (most days)
2) stay in nutrition goals and increase fiber (yup)
3) donation quilts and table runners (done)
4) finish 1 item for Etsy shop (done)

I did pretty good with my August goals. Gotta find a way to get more steps on days I work, but over all I am pleased. For September I hope to continue this trend.

My September goals:

1) get 10,000 steps daily
2) strength train 3 days a week
3) stay in nutrition guidelines and increase protein
4) finish Christmas and Wedding quilts and 1 UFO.
