Wear what works best for you, period. That's all that matters.

I don't think anything about men running in tights.

I live in Canada, so very common to see men running in tights. Most wear year round, probably for same reason as you do. Keep on running.

You do you, man! I'm a girl who lots of people probably think shouldn't run in just a sports bra, but I do anyway because I overheat easily and it's more comfortable for me. Do people give me looks? OF COURSE. Do they probably say bad things about me behind my back? DEFINITELY. Do I care? NOT AT ALL. I run for me and my enjoyment, not their opinions. Wear those tights if they make you feel better!

I agree. Wear them especially if they help your knees. Too bad they don't make men's capris. Then you could wear them under a pr. of shorts and no one would know the difference.

I agree with Salty. Wear them if that is the gear that works best for you

Well, I'm not a guy, but if wearing compression tights is better for you, then wear them. Who cares if people give you funny looks?

Maybe I just should learn not to care what other people think, but my dilemma is this ... I have bad knees but apparently not quite bad enough to merit surgery. I have been advised that running will exacerbate the problem, but I like running, and when I have tried cycling I feel like the cars are aiming for me or are oblivious to my existence. I have tried running with various knee braces, but the one thing that really helps and isn’t uncomfortable is a good pair of compression tights.

Problem is, I live in So Cal, where the weather is never so cold that a guy would “have” to wear tights for any other reason, and I feel like I get really funny looks wearing them. I could wear shorts over them, but it is less comfortable, I still get funny looks, and in my mind it looks really lame.

So is there a consensus on guys wearing tights?
