Dry heat is my favorite, I thrive in that kind of weather, maybe I'm a cactus.
It's been raining here all week and I braved some mist for a run yesterday and it was actually really enjoyable! But the constant grey cover s getting to be a downer. Ah well. April showers and all that.

Though I prefer the heat, perfect racing weather for me is probably 35 to 40. That way I can dress minimally (thin shirt, shorts) and not sweat.

Thursday was a low of 66 and a high of 87. Today it's supposed to hit 92 and a possible record high for today's date. Gah! At least it's also supposed to be back to the mid-60's on Sunday and mid-70's next week. Hopefully it's not too hot for my half marathon next Saturday. 10-day forecast says 72. I hope that forecast holds.

we don't get that cold around here but i am sick of the rain. showers are ok, sprinkles but the constant rain is driving me bonkers. i was really hoping to be able to ride my bike to work starting this month but the rain is just too heavy and i don't want to go out spending money on waterproof rain gear.

DUUUUDE! Totally. wtf?? We had pretend Spring but then it went away. I don't mind running in the cold, it's pretty invigorating, but the rain.. not so much. I see some people braving it, but I'm afraid of getting sick!

Having grown up on in the Northeast I totally relate...and now living in Southern California, I definitely DON'T miss the cold! I do miss being able to hide under sweaters in the winter, ha!

Yeah, here in the midwest it regularly gets that hot in the summer and into the 10's and 20's in the winter. At least there is variety... LOL

The worst was this past July when the LOW was over 90 degrees for a full week, and regularly in the mid-upper 80's.

I'll take 30-40 over that on most days.

High of 91 forecast for Friday, so it looks like the heat is here, early. Bah!

I would rather have the cold than heat. I ran my long run last Saturday and the temps were in the low 30's and I was good with that, it is better than the 90's or even 60's, when dehydration, heart rate, etc could all be an issue.

It can be easier to dress for running in the summer though, LOL.

TYKXBOY - I totally agree - summer temps suck! A little warmth is nice, but not too much of it.

Around October I was praying for cooler temps. Now, after temps around freezing for most of my morning winter runs, I was excited for a week of 60 degree temps. Then they promptly dropped back down, again. It was nice, but I think I'm ready for some warmth. Those summer temps, tho, they can stay away.

Amen to that. The worst thing about this time of year is that you'll get a great warm day and think spring is here and then it'll be freezing. I'm looking at 40s all week. At this point I'd be happy with 50s.

No kidding. I've been restricted to indoors all week again. It has been into the -30Celcuis range with wind chill around here again. It's really starting to get to me.

I think this year is worst then ever for me. Day after day of cold and wind. I haven't been running much. I am cranky and entertaining myself by going shopping. My poor visa can only handle so much. ;-)

That makes two of us. I hear ya! But I stay positive by looking at it this way, the days may be cold but we're on our way to warmer weather. Just think if the days were cold and we were on our way to colder weather.
