I've done the 13.1 in Atlanta both years, and it is good--but needs some tweaking still. I love the course, though, so I'll keep running it.

Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving. ~Colossians 3:23-24

I've run the 13.1 in Miami twice and in Fort Lauderdale twice and both have been EXCELLENT!! Well staffed with volunteers, well organized (even the inaugural races I've run), great post-race party! No complaints!

Irish, sorry to hear your Boston experience was not a good one.

There was 13.1 Boston here in the summer, and it was a DISASTER!!! First of all, it was marketed as a half marathon in Boston, when in fact, it was well south, and never crossed into the city limits. For as expensive as it was, you'd expect it to be in the city. Also, it was a super hot day, and a very hilly course, and they ran out of cups/water on the course! Volunteers were pouring water into runner's mouths until they ran out. Granted, it was the first time this race had been run, but it's a national organization, you'd think it would have been better planned. I'm sure some of the other races are fine, but this particular one was not worth the money. I have run a lot of half marathons, and it was by far the worst I've ever seen.

2010 Goals:
Get under 6 hours for a half Ironman triathlon
Get under 8 min/mi for a 5K - DONE 4/3

2010 Big Races:
Jan 15-17 Bermuda Half Challenge (8:15 Mile, 1:01:20 10K, and 2:11:32 half marathon)
June 6 Mooseman 70.3 triathlon (6:30:25)
Aug 22 Timberman 70.3 triathlon (6:10:14)

I've done a few halfs and ran the Chicago marathon last month but I've never done one of these half marathons and was just wondering how the event was? Fun? Well run?
