I guess that would depend on what Dead you're talking about. New Speedway Boogie might be ok but Dark Star during a long run would be aweful.

LOL, Ham! I once was telling my BF that I like to put some Grateful Dead on the MP3 player before heading out for an LSD run and he gave me a VERY strange look!

LSD -

Nothing like dropping a few hits and then heading out for an 18 miler while running alongside the golden monkey people while they utter encouragement in their beautiful language.

an old bridle path located on Central Ave near downtown Phoenix. The street is lined with a canopy of trees and in the summer it is one of the best COOLEST spots in town to run.

boardwalks are great! I recently ran on one for the first time ever and loved it.

I also like running on unpaved bike paths, and there are a bunch near where I live.

I have relatively fresh asphalt on my road. It was so nice when it was first done!

I don't have any in my town. Have to go up to Old Sacramento and it's not easy to run on board paths others are strolling and window-shopping on.

I run on wooden boardwalk and I LOVE it! I can really feel the difference when I come off the boardwalk and have to finish on pavement.

I don't think I've run over any wooden bridges or even regular bridges. I love running by the beach on the walkway:)

sand. I know it's weird and it's both harder work and an injury waiting to happen but I do love it.

I agree with the wooden bridges and boardwalks though. Love that little bit of bounce!

wooden bridges and boardwalks!

I love the little bit of bounce, the sound of my feet against the planks. I love that I have access to running paths with foot bridges. Every time I go over one, I feel like my batteries get recharged.

Sorry, just felt like carrying on about my favorite running surface, lol.
