Last night I ran about 2.3 miles (a neighborhood loop I do all the time) and ran it faster than I ever have! I played my new mix of 90BPM songs using the mix meister and really focused on taking shorter strides and more steps. I shaved a minute off my usual time. The best part was that I feel I was running more efficiently! Woohoo!

Seabreeze - good luck! I'm not very good with technical stuff. If you can be specific as to what's happening I can ask my husband. :)

Gail - That's what I've been doing too!

I run with all kind of music but I never run to the beat. Sorry, I am not much help.

I downloaded the mixmeister, but can't seem to figure out how to get the songs from the library into the mixmaster library. I will have to work on it again later today!!!

My husband did it. Lemme find out from him and I'll report back to you. ;)

I will check out MotionTraxx. Thanks for the advice!

How did you determine BPM? I'd love to be able to do that!

I found MotionTraxx online. It's free, and it has several training MP3 sessions at varying tempos. My favorites are the interval training ones, and I've found that I am faster than I was a few months ago.

My husband and I just recently went through my music list on my MP3. He's chosen songs at 90 BPM to help me run 90 stride cycles a minute.

Do you have any suggestions or stories about improving cadence/stride rate and what has helped you? I am confused about the whole thing.
