Sadly only did nine miles today. It was so hot and humid out. The beautiful fall air disappeared! I cannot run in the humidity!

Right, the Grand Canyon Ranger said to use mole skin cut to fit on the outside of the blister to cushion it. Like an "O" shape. Then one more layer on top and cover it all with duct tape.

Why duct tape, you ask? Because it's slick and will cause less friction which is what caused the blister in the first place.

She said you can even put duct tape right on the spot that might get a blister to prevent it from happening.

Many of the hikers I was with used it to great success.

Good Luck!

My running partner who just hike the Grand Caynon told me about using duct tape for blisters...since I didn't have a blister I wasn't paying full attention but I will forward this to her and maybe she can elaborate!!!

They have these silicone toe caps to protect between the toe blisters. I drain my blisters as soon as possible and the dead skin comes off in a few days. Then drench your feet in bodyglide before long runs.

I have already put it off for a week.... it is much better, but I know will only get aggravated tomorrow when I run.

It's not the outside of my toe, it is the inside, between the toes.

Honestly, I wouldn't run and let it heal.

My big toe and my other toe are separated a bit so when I run they are rubbing together. I have a huge blister on my big toe and it is starting to hurt.... tomorrow I have an 18 mile run scheduled. Any suggestions?
