Anytime I can work it into my schedule. That is a benefit of being retired, however, I find that I am busier now than when I worked each day. Then I was committed to being in one place from 9 to 4 or 6. Now my schedule is devoted to things that can be at any time of day so I work by work-outs around those times. I am loving it! emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

Do nothing from selfishness or empty conceit, but with humility of mind regard one another as more important than yourselves; do not merely look out for your own personal interests, but also for the interests of others. Phil 2:3-4.

Hey! Im new here but not new to working out. I am a morning person. I will squeeze the gym in when I can but I feel like I definitely do get a better work out in the am (just wish my schedule was a little better).

I usually work out about 2 in the afternoon, two hours after lunch, before my grand-daughter gets to my house at 4. That way I can shower before she gets there, and already be ready to go to bed when she leaves at 9.

Both, I wish I could say one or the other, but I have to squeeze it in when I can.

I prefer mornings, but end up just fitting it in where I can. If I limit myself to a particular time of day, and my (crazy!) schedule causes me to miss that appointed time, I have a tendancy to have a pity-party and consider the workout missed. I"ve learned if I just commit to working out during the day SOMETIME rather than on a particular hour, I find I'm more adherent.

Life is like riding a bicycle - in order to keep your balance, you must keep moving. A. Einstein

I am trying (cannot wait until daylight savings time) to get back to 5 a.m. That works best for me. But during the winter it ends up being nightime 5 p.m.

I'm not a morning person either... It would be 5 pm for me as well.

It does not matter how slow you go...so long as you do not stop.

Do you find it better to work out in the early morning ( 5 am) or in the evening (5 pm)?
