Dr. Tony Porter is great, and I've never had a problem with his staff. His prices are good, and we've had to pay off and on over the years without insurance, too. He's on Lyndhurst near Forsyth Hospital.

You should try Dr. Andrea Robinson. She and her staff are awewsome!! I have been going there for a year and they are always very nice to me. I am also a chicken and kind of sensitive and they are really good with me. The number is 765-2921. They also have a website if you want to check them out first. www.robinsondentalstudios.com
Good luck, hope this helps!

Ya know.. I just can't understand what the deal is with the staff at these places. Maybe they assume everyone has ins. and is not really paying that much? Either way.. you're still paying for Ins. There are too many people out there needing jobs right now and these doctors need to know that their staff is causing them to lose patients. Maybe I feel differently since I am all about being nice to people but I can't imagine someone wanting to do these jobs if they don't like people. lol.

Good luck on the eye doctor place and thanks for trying to help with the Dentist. I've gotten one name from someone so far so maybe I'll try them. I'll at least make it a point to make the staff aware of WHY I'm looking for a new one. Hopefully that'll nip it in the bud right off the bat. :-)

I wish I could help you but I see a dentist in Yadkinville. I'll keep my ears open, though.

I totally get that about not paying them any more money to be treated rudely by the staff. I'm finding that the case with eye doctors. Man, the receptionists at the place I recently quit acted like I was a thorn in their side, and the one where I started going back to is not much better. I'm glad the rest of the staff is pleasant or I'd be leaving there too.

I am having a hard time finding a dentist and hygienist for my husband. We have a GREAT dentist but his staff just ain't cutting it. They are great at their job but some of them are just down right rude. We do not have dental Ins. so all of this is out of pocket and I refuse to give them anymore money if we're going to be insulted during every appt. The dentist is great but the staff has been rude on multiple occasions. We are very easy to get a long with so I don't understand why.

I want a dentist and staff that are not sadistic. My husband has VERY sensitive teeth and would like to be treated with respect instead of being treated like he should just suck it up and act like a man and deal with the pain. (Novocaine doesn't work for him) Well, I don't believe that when you are paying hundreds of dollars for dental work that you should just "suck it up". We do not have Dental Ins. so everything is out of pocket.

I've been to a few dentists in Winston and so far I either like the staff and hate the dentist or I LOVE the dentist but can't stand the staff. As much as these people charge you would think it wouldn't be that hard finding a good one. PLEASE help! I'd appreciate any recommendations. I don't care where in Winston the dentist is just as long as they are in Winston. Gas it too much to drive much further.

Thanks in advance! :-)
