What about mall walking? I know a lot of people do that...or an indoor track? Perinton Community Center has one. It is $1 for non-residents. That is gonna be my running fallback if it is too bad and I can't muster the treadmill anymore!

We're underconstruction at the house these days - I Have a wii, but it's packed away to keep it dust free while we dry-wall.

I can't wait to have my wii back - I love playing wii and getting exercise in that way!

I just bought a jumprope yesterday when I was out looking as some inexpensive additional fitness gear - that ought to get my heart rate up (and work on some additional agility). :)

I am a runner and I still go out as long as it isn't like a blizzard or raining. I just layer well and keep moving! I do go to the gym and have a treadmill and a Wii too if it is really dire...

I joined the Irondequoit Planet Fitness... I had hated the YMCA but I love PF!!!

I haven't tried these yet but I did google last winter and found that some sports equipment stores rent snowshoes, so you could try hiking with those...

I think that some even rent cross country skies... I have no interest in downhill but will someday try cross country..lol! I also believe that the Genesee Country Village & Museum in Mumford rent cross country skis and have trails.

Just a couple of ideas!

Good Morning all,

I hope everyone had a safe (albeit probably slow) ride in to work this morning.

What are people doing for winter fitness? Joining gyms, have equipment at the house? Any fun outdoor fitness ideas? I ahve limited equipment and am not a good gym-goer. I do much better sneaking exercise in on myslef (like walks, hikes, yard work etc) Winter makes things a little tough - looking for ideas?
