Thanks for all your prayers. My Lucky had really good thyroid levels, so she had just lost a little weight. Maybe my other cat has been keeping her from eating as much as she should. The vet said I could pamper her a little, so I'll give her a little more food on the sly.

There has been a lot going on at home, so maybe she was reacting to her owner's stress. Again, thanks for all your prayers and comfort. emoticon emoticon

Do cats have two thyroids? I'm so sorry your cat has to undergo surgery again. I'm sure it's hard on you both. Having a good Vet is a plus and I'm sure all will be well. Take care.

I haven't had experience but I wanted to wish you and your kitty luck on the surgery. When you have a cat for a lot of years it is hard to lose you little friend. I hope you get a few more years with yours.

My formerly healthy 16 year old cat had thyroid surgery last March and healed well and now, it seems she may need the other one taken out. Has anyone had experience with this? I'm so worried because she is so old and my long time companion. I have a good vet who only treats cats, so she figured out how to help my one very ill kitty, so I'm hoping to have a few more years with my Lucky.
