Unfortunately, when I called the dept. of parks and rec., I was informed that they do not allow this kind of thing. I am working on figuring out a place that would be easy and inexpensive, but being sort of new to town makes it a little difficult. Anyone have any ideas?

I'd be interested, though I work full time so I'd only be able to join in if it were early in the morning or on weekends.

Hi Stamford Sparkers! I am trying to gauge interest in small group fitness classes at any of the beautiful parks in our city. I am a certified personal trainer, fully insured and also certified in CPR/First Aid and Multiple Client Training, and am looking to expand out of the gym a bit and take things outdoors. I have developed two great, half hour workouts that would work well in a park setting. One is a Standing Abs class. No getting down on the ground to work those abs. The second class I have developed is a thirty minute butt burner: a cardio workout that really targets and firms your butt while revving up your metabolism to burn fat all day long. I would cap the attendance at about 8 people to be able to really focus on form and safety. Since I am just gauging interest before committing to developing the idea further, I'd love to know if this would be of interest to my fellow Stamford Sparkers. What do you all think?
