This month we are participating in our local and annual 5K event...The Torrance Turkey Trot...you are welcome to join us if you like....it's what they call a fun run!

Hello all. I have not logged onto SP in ages, but I'm trying to come back. As of now, I'm not yet active, but I'd like to start ASAP. I think the best way to get myself motivated to run consistently is if I'm working toward a larger goal--i.e. a 5k. For a person who doesn't get out much, 5k is substantial for me. I think if I had something like this to look forward to, Id actually be interested in jogging in prep for, just so Im not embarrassingly huffing and puffing the day of
Is there anyone else out there interested in jogging a 5k in LA within the coming month or two?

I found a cite that lists various 5ks throughout LA.
