Most women I know (inclucing me) are really good about core and lower body exercises- crunches, plank, walking, bike, treadmill.... I decided to get serious about upper body as well - to build more muscle for increased calorie burn and also to get ready for tank tops and swim suits in a couple more months. My stability ball is a great asset - I made it my desk chair so every time I'm paying bills, making shopping lists, or using my computer I'm also consciously aware of balance and if I get a few quick minutes will use it for crunches. I've also atarted doing push-ups with the ball at the hips - as long as I'm on it, just takes a sec to flip over and start counting. My 'bat wings' are getting noticeably less jiggly and am actually seeing some muscle definition. Don't know how far you are from the greenbelt, but the weather right now is perfect for putting little one into a racing stroller (my daughter picked up one from one of the numerous consignment shops in town) and taking off for a brisk walk/jog/run - both of you will get a change of scenery and a bit of fresh air and vitamin D along with a great cardio/leg/butt work-out for Mom.

My SparkPage
As you may have read on my page- I am in a huge weight loss competition and the weigh in is 2 months from today!!! I am getting a bit nervous as I can't get off my plateau. I need to drop 13 pounds before then so now I go into crunch mode! I will be on here all the time asking for ideas so let's start with the first one- what's your favorite workout move? I want to build a fun program and make some muscle confusion.
