I changed what I ate drastically when I started this whole weight lose venture 5 months ago. I don't even look at it like a diet anymore because its my new way of eating. I try to stay away from red meat, and have even started eating veggie burgers. I eat a lot of lean turkey and chicken. I have added lots of fruits and veggies to my diet. Instead of having a potato or starchy food or pasta with dinner I have been having 2 veggies or a salad and a veggie with some sort of meat. Some of my fav food is nickles 35 calorie light wheat bread, parkay 0 calorie spray butter, I can't believe it's not butter fat free, wheat pancakes, sugar free syrup, and wheat pasta. Good Luck to you!

It comes down to a simple question: what do you want out of life, and what are you willing to do to get it?

I basically mostly eat what I like (just not too much of it ;)) and track my calories..stay in range. I also try to find healthier things I like..Kashi cereals, new veggies, etc.
It's worked OK for me, though I had a few months where I didn't track very closely because I didn't want to. I didn't gain anything but I didn't lose. That is OK too. I hope to have more focus now..lost 2 lbs since I got back on top of it.

Well it definitely looks like it's working for you. I know I get caught up with the desire to maximize my weight loss potential. I do the same thing with workouts, I hate feeling like I am wasting my time. That has always been an issue for me in the past because I will get discouraged when I don't get the results I want. This time I'm happy as long as I'm making progress and that is what will help me win in the end.

Thank you for sharing and congrats on losing so much weight! People like you really inspire me and help me keep hope. I'll be there one day!

I'm pretty much doing the same thing you are. Just watching what I eat and exercising like mad. I've learned that my body will tell me when I've ate too much or ate the wrong thing if I listen to it. I think it works so much better that way than the pressures of a strict diet plan.

Working torward a happier me!

Right now I am not following any particular plan, just watching what I eat and how I feel. I just want to know what other people are doing and how it's working for them
