Well I wish you luck, with staying on track. I did go over my calories by 6 yesterday. I'm really proud of myself though. We walked about 2 miles to get there and another 2 to go home, so I'm not counting those 6 calories against myself. Plus all the dancing during the concert has to count for something, right?

I also have trouble staying away from soda for long periods of time mainly because it's right there as soon as I open the fridge door-back to that whole self-discipline thing! I could live without soda though, it's the sweet tea that I can't do without! I also haven't done much working out these last few days because I have been getting things together for my trip to Atlantic City, NJ :)YAY!!! I am leaving in a few hours-I am a night owl so I'd rather drive at night! Good Luck ladies with staying motivated and sticking to your weight loss plans in the next week. I won't be able to post or read anything from spark people while I am gone so wish me luck that I can stay motivated and not go overboard with foods during my vacation! I will be doing lots of walking though :)

I switched to one cup of flavored tea a day. Celestial seasonings has great chai teas.

Oh, soda, my enemy. Last year I did very well at not drinking soda after the football season, but then teaching started again. One morning when I was oh so tired I got a diet coke and it started again. I will try to have no soda either. :)

I love that you both think playing counts! I spend Monday-Friday with 15 kids between 3-6, so we play all sorts of things and on Friday we go to the splash pad, which is a giant sprinklers that are at the water park. I do try to walk or something on most days too. I skipped anything extra yesterday because I was so tired. Today I've got the water park and the New Kids On The Block concert...where I hope I can stay away from soda and anything else not good. I'm going on a month with no soda!

Well, girls. Tuesday and Wednesday I really didn't workout. However, Thursday I hit up a 30 min lower-body and cardio video from women's health and I did 45 min yoga. It felt great, but I also didn't have any pressure to be anywhere else all day. Chug, chug, chug.

I hate yard work too! However, my finance agreed that he would do dishes and laundry if I do outside work. I love that deal, so I will put up with it. A one-mile walk is great, though, too!

LOL :) I guess it depends on what you were playing. I vote yes because I doubt that they wanted to sit still! I used to watch 3 kids (3,5,and 9) for 10 hrs a day and I definitely felt like it was a workout, especially since their house has two sets of stairs that I constantly had to go up and down-ugh. I was exausted after those days! I like the idea that we share how we worked out each day because it helps to keep me motivated :) I did do the yard work today-which I absolute hate!- so I only made it through an hour of that and I just finished walking a mile after I got home from work :)

I think ANYTHING is better than nothing. Today I didn't work out either because of the weather. It was 100 degrees in the shade and I ran out of time before I had to milk cows this afternoon. Ugh. But tomorrow the plan is some yoga. (At least my basement is super cool and fixed up)

So my question is does playing with 4-6 year olds at day camp for 7 hours a day count as a workout? I'm avoiding, it's like 102 degrees in Chicago today and I'm melting with the heat. It really leaves me looking for excuses to not work out.

Good Job on working out! Sadly the only exercise I did yesterday was washing and cleaning my car. I have a whole day of yard work planned today though! and I hope to go walking tonight.

Good for you! I didn't get the bike fixed today...way to hot here to go out. I did get in about a hour or so of swimming though.

Thanks for the input ladies and letting me know I am not the only one out there. I say the same thing that "tomorrow I will make sure I will do it." Well, after reading these two response, I think, wait, I will go right now and work out, TODAY. It's a start. :)

I know the way that goes too! I have been telling myself for 2 weeks now I was gonna ride my bike every morning before I go to work. SO far it hasn't happened. I'm gonna start tomorrow though! If you want a motivational picture of you...try the weightveiw.com website, it let's you upload a real photo and then submit it for a 50lbs deduction picture. You can print them out for free. I find myself going for the chocolate ice cream only to be stopped by my own picture, I really want the thighs I have in that picture! Also, I know a few of us said we'd do the weekly weigh ins but why not have a daily huddle about the activity you did to work out that day? It might help all of us get more motivaited to stay on track.

I was just thinking the same thing about having someone to work out with but not knowing anyone. I have friends close by but they are all soooo much smaller than me that sometimes I feel uncomfortable working out with them. It's not the same as working out with someone that knows where you are at and how you feel. I live in Roxboro, NC though so I can't help you out there :( I also have problems staying motivated. I had thought about putting a picture of myself at my worst around the house to see if that would keep me motivated or keep me from being lazy! I will try it and see if it works.

Hello all! I am a 25 year old teacher living in Campbellsport, WI. I have always been overweight, but I really need to get off my butt and do something about it. I definitely do better with a partner in crime, but I don't have any really close by. I don't mind working out at all, but I need motivation all the time. Any suggestions or anyone live in campbellsport area?
