Definitely take it slow, or you could risk an injury and that could take you out of the gym for a while. emoticon

Someday I'd love to run.. I just know w/ my weight it's too much stress on my body to try and do that kind of impact. I'd say take it slow though. :)

I'm not a runner. But for someone that hasn't been to the gym in awhile, I would definitely say take it slow. The first time I ever went to the gym the only thing I could do was the sit down bike for about 10 minutes. I am now doing the elliptical for 45 minutes, and the treadmill for 10 minutes. I love the elliptical. Mainly because it doesn't put any weight on your knees-I have a bad left knee. Good luck!

So I went to see my personal trainer yesterday, just for my monthly assessment. I haven't been the gym in months, but I plan to begin on Monday. I really want to get into running. Has anyone had any luck with getting going with this? OR maybe past experience? I've never been a runner, but I'd like to get going with it. Any ideas would be nice. Maybe someone else who is wanting to do the same could buddy up with me.
