Glad we could help Fortunate! I almost went through medical school but it wasn't for me. Good luck with that and picking up on Spanish and French! Hope you liked your movies and getting the hair done!

Thank you IAM_HIS and MAYAKAYAH for your wonderful suggestions,
I did watch 3 movies that SH would never watch with me
I did get a new hairstyle for a change when SH comes back,
I booked a spa appointment today so that I am relaxed and revitalized for when SH comes back tomorrow :)
Thank you for your lovely suggestions
@ IAM_HIS love the idea of planning a vacation will definitely do it next time SH travels,
@MAYAKAYAH
I recently graduated form med school and have lots of studying to do for my USMLE, we are not planning for children for a while, when he is not around I just donít feel like doing anything, but I am working on it, and yea love the idea of a new language, Iíve always wanted to learn Spanish but never got the kind of time, will definitely do that next time, and I have been out of practice in French will do that today! Thanks all,
Have and amazing day :)

When my husband is gone, I usually do a home DIY project and keep busy. Actually it is nice to have some alone time with my daughter.

When I first met my SO he traveled for his work in his previous position. He was away for about ten days a month. Of course we missed one another so we would text and email but I certainly accomplished a lot while he was out of my hair lol.

IAM_HIS has good suggestions but you have to figure out what your interests or hobbies are and go from there.

Do you have children? Plan activities with them if you do!
Volunteer in an area that interests you!
If you don't work find a job or career that interests you!
Take an Online Class! (Learn a new Language)
Pursue your interests or hobbies!
Exercise more, Learn to cook different dishes, clean house more etc...
Do you have pets, play with them more!

Those are just the suggestions I thought of off the top of my mind! I work so if my husband is ever gone now I work, do housework, read books, work on my writing, exercise, run errands, take care of our two children, cook, watch programs that I may have missed, practise my languages, study the bible, pray the rosary, bake sometimes and perfect recipes, figure out menus for the next week of dinner meals! look at my Pinterest boards, go out and visit friends, go to my appointments, go to the bookstore...

It doesn't bother me when the SO is gone for his work, yes I do miss him but when you are busy and engaged with life time flies!

Good luck~

Being away from a spouse, while relaxing for some, is lonely and depressing for others, especially when they are the ones stuck at home while their spouse is off

1 Tackle home projects

2 See a movie by yourself. You may find you enjoy the independence, and if not, you can say you've done it.

3 Buy all the foods your spouse doesn't like, but you love.

4 Plan a romantic night for the day your spouse returns.

5 Book a vacation. Use travel websites like Expedia and Cheap Caribbean to find vacation packages the two of you can use in the future. Planning a vacation to take together makes being alone right now less lonely.

6 Go away for a weekend. Visit an old friend who you wouldn't normally visit.

7 Pamper yourself. Get facial or a new hair style.

hello all, how are you doing?
i was just wondering what do you do when your spouse is away for a while,
we all know traveling is a part of life, sometimes for work sometimes for leisure, you cant always travel with your partner, so what do you do? how does it affect you? how do you cope with it?
like for example, my SH is gone for 10 days out of country, traveling for work, its know its not that long, but they seem to be the longest days ever, i don,t feel like getting anything done,
and its not the first time but i cant seem to get to it. emoticon
