I love all the seasons, but winter always gets me down at first. I usually get back into my groove around this time of year.

Never giving up!

On a score of 1-10, my dislike of snow and this arctic air this year would be a 15!

I hate being cold, but the crisp winter air is lovely. Love snow, hate slush. Love new snow and snowflakes and sunny cold days, not grey and gloomy like today. I guess it's a love - hate relationship. emoticon

On a scale of 1 to 10, with 1 being love and 10 being hate, winter scores a 7 - it's beautiful to look at, but I don't like the cold or the slippery streets and sidewalks.

I freakin' hate winter. I avoid going outside as much as possible. It doesn't help that I have rosacea and even on nice days like yesterday, I can feel the wind doing damage to my face :(

Marybeth......I would have made the same decision. So not worth the risk.

Better to visit when the weather is better and then you can shower her with love and gifts....

Yesterday was my granddaughter's Baptism day in Cambridge. We are in Petrolia, so a two hour drive and much of a snow belt to go through. Therefore, on Saturday with just a little bit of snow coming down at the time, my husband said that the weather is too unpredictable at this time of year so he was not going. My sister and her husband felt the same way, so I had to stay home because I would not go alone. I understand the baby being 3 months old and mommy wanting to have her baptized, but it is winter so she just has to understand that the risk of winter driving on 401 is not worth it. Spring, please come soon so I can go visit! I got to see lots of pictures and a video off of Facebook, and we did see each other on Skype this morning. Baby Ava just did not get the presents yet, but I showed them to her.

okay so ....yesterday I went into the show at 1 PM...to see War Horse ..finally....loved it.

but when I came out three hours later ......winter had blown in and was dumping.....lots of fluffly wet snow.....there had to have been 1 to 2 inches of very fluffy stuff on the ground and on my car.

The drive home normally would have been about 10 to 15 minutes max.....yesterday ...that time doubled. Good thing everyone was driving slow and carefully.

BUT there are some people who think their day light running lights are enough...on a sunny bright day I would say yes....but not when visibility is poor. You are invisible from the back because your rear lights DO NOT come on with day light running lights.....arg!!!!

Anyway..............I then decided at about 7 PM or so that the snow had pretty much stopped so I should go out and shovel my drive way and clean off my car.......well much to my surprise I snow angel had come along and cleared off my drive way....for me......it turned out to be my next door neighbour....but how nice was that?????

anyway..........I have had enough winter.....time for spring.....lol

On the 402 between Forest and Watford yesterday there was a 32 vehicle accident in which 2 people were killed. Wow!
I did not enjoy my drive home from work tonight. Still snowing, but I did OK. I always remember to slow down when it is snowing. So fearful of losing control. Hope it clears overnight as I have to go back in to work tomorrow for a while.
I figured winter snow would arrive sooner or later, and that the frigid temperatures would also arrive!. Oh well, Spring is just around the corner right? emoticon

okay now.....that is winter. Lousy stormy, lots of weird white outs due to gusty winds......not a lot of snow but enough to make it lousy for driving....

how did everyone make out yesterday?.....

tons of storm related accidents around Hamilton - no one seriously injured ...thank goodness....

oh well....Mom Nature did not forget after all.....:) Maybe it was just a menopausal moment for the old gal.....

I honestly don't mind the cold...but then again I am not out in it. So I feel for runners cuz it would make it more difficult for sure. And I see some die hard running in temps most would not even stick their nose in.....brrrrr...

So I feel for you in Peterborough......

Pfft - I'm jealous of the weather in Kitchener. Up near Peterborough it's still -10 daily. It's fine, but it's getting hard to breath on my runs. So I really don't like winter. Summer heat? Bring it on.

I am not a fan of winter. I do not have any activities in mind when winter arrives and I really wish I did.

And I dread driving in the snow or slick .....but I have to do it to get to work....so this year so far has been a blessing.

But I know from a gardening aspect this is a drought just like one we might have in a summer with little or no rain....so I do know snow is beneficial to the earth and what grows from it.

Oh well - I am not complaining about the lack of snow - that is for sure.

bring on spring......I do know .....almost without a doubt that we will get blasted at least once......I have never seen us go thru an entire winter with no snow.....ever.

I hate winter! This one has not been too bad yet. Actually yesterday was almost like Spring and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I like seeing the pretty snowflakes on the trees but do not like having to wear extra layers of clothing in winter. I am not a winter sports fan and do not like driving in nasty weather. My favourite season is the Spring when everything comes to new life again.

I have mixed feelings about winter - DH and I like to snowshoe, but where we live we don't often have enough snow to do it very often. I worry about driving out of town in the winter, and don't walk outside as often because I broke my foot a couple of years ago and worry about falling again. BUT... I think the trees in winter are beautiful; I love doing photography in the winter... for it to be perfect for me, the snow and ice would stay off the roads and sidewalk, but cover the trees, parks, etc.

Ok ... I am sorry to all your winter lovers out there, no disrespect intended, but I am LOVING the weather here in Kitchener/Waterloo. I ran my 4 mile run yesterday with a pair of spandex capris & a long sleeve shirt ! WOOT WOOT! Talk about being spoiled.

What about you spark friends ? Is the spring like weather motivating you to get outdoors, or are you missing the winter ?
