Hello is this still an active thread? I'm getting my feet wet in the team. Brand new start for a brand new me. I've completed 12 days of eating well and exercising I'm going to the Dr. on Friday emoticon to weigh in and get measured up. I'm hoping to see some results!

Well done is better than well said.

Today was another good day. I am eating so much protein that I woke up this morning too full to eat breakfast, so my calorie intake was low today... but I feel very full so I am not concerned! I weighed myself today, which I shouldn't have, and I was "up" 2 lbs but I should know better to do a mid-week weigh in. I have had a calorie deficit all week, so I know it wasn't a true gain.

Work was really busy today which led to me not being able to really get onto SP or get very many steps. Hope everyone had a great day.

Hey we have a lot in common! I also working from home as a software engineer. Iím currently working at Cisco Systems writing network segmentation software for security. I am one of the only moms who doesnít homeschool in my friend group. My kids would love it, but my job is so demanding, I couldnít possibly manage it. So, I am jealous! I know itís a lot of fun and opens up a whole world of exploration for you and your kids.

My experience with SparkPeople is that if you stay involved it will really work for you. I lost 95 lbs with SparkPeople previously and was down to 188ish so i hope to do that again! Iíll be here for you if you will be here for me!

Iím feeling a little better but heading to the dr. Pretty sure my whole problem is a UTI. Kept my eating in check again yesterday as well. I have a friend who is super fit and she is doing a workout and diet challenge starting today and included me and two of our other friends. Iím giving it a go! It looks intense but I will be doing some modifications.

Have a good day today!

Hey there - I'm barely in my 40's still (49!) but this is the year to finally get myself in control. I'm a single mom to 5 adopted kiddos, and I'm well over 300. I haven't weighed myself in a long, long time, so I don't know how much, but I'm going to get a scale that can weigh me and start this journey!

I am a project manager/software engineer and work from home, while homeschooling my 2 school aged kids, and sort-of homeschooling my preschoolers. Next year I'll homeschool them all, so that is on the horizon as well!

Nice to "meet" you!
Tanya

Yesterday was not much better on the health front, but I am down 7 lbs so that's good! Back to work today, yuck. Trying to get my water in today. That's my focus.

Felt so bad yesterday. Woke up with a terrible headache and nausea. Tried ibuprofen, no relief. Took imitrex and zofran and got better but never 100%. Hoping today is better. I thought to myself, ďThis is one way to stay under my calorie range!Ē And then my hubby came in with leftover pork chop and Brussels sprouts from Perryís Steakhouse. Yum!

Good morning! I'm new to this team, coming over from the 30 somethings group. I'm turning 40 this month!

Years ago I lost 95 lbs and was down to 188 lbs using sparkpeople, but I have gained back up into the 250s (scared to weigh myself!!!!) and I'm trying to get myself back on track.

I'm a happily married mom of 2 and I work full time as a software engineer (from home), and am active in my kids' school and extracurriculars. My life is busy but I'm trying to learn to put myself first sometimes instead of neglecting myself to care for everyone else. Not easy!

Hope everyone is having a great day.
