2018 is right around the corner! This year has flown by!! What plans are you making for a successful 2018?

I am working on a exercise plan that is reasonable and realistic for me. I need to add exercise to my daily routine to help the weight leave me for good!! I have always loved Walk Away the Pounds but want to add something else.

Jenny, My thoughts and prayers are with you!

Hi Mom of 4!

How is everyone doing?? I didn't gain but 1 pound over my 4 day weekend and I was pretty impressed with that!! Driving to my sisters, eating yummy but sensible food, driving home and many places to go this weekend with a baby shower thrown in there. I am happy and back on track today! Making positive choices!!

Hi, I am Jenny.

I have been here before.

Life has been crazy. In summer my husband, Dave, got sick. In mid July he was finally diagnosed with Stage 4 Pancreatic Cancer that had metastisized to his Liver. By the time it was diagnosed he was too far along for chemo. He passed away on September 1, 2017.

So, I am trying to figure out what my new normal is. I came back to work on October 2, after being given a month off. (Something nearly unheard of in the teaching world, but my Administrator insisted.) Now things are getting more complicated as I get into the new school year and yesterday I had a bad day, which carried over to this morning, but I feel a little better now.

Anyway, I am glad to be back and hope to keep coming back here to check in and get to know everyone once again!

Hi all!! Just checking in to see how everyone is doing on the journey. Work got super crazy and school started along with all the after school activities. UGH! I need to get better at planning.

I started a protein shake meal plan. I am down almost 12 pounds in 9 days. I have to do something to jump start this weight loss! Small steps!!

Hi All!
I have only recently restarted my journey, but I have committed to swimming before work 3 days a week and 1 day on the weekend. I have officially completed my 6th time going and I have upped my laps from 8 very slow laps in 45 min to 12! :) Already feeling the body not quite as achy (or at least it is the good kind of 'ache') Also officially started the eating towards the plan my nutritionist provided.

Hope you are all having a wonderful and energizing day!

Morning all!! I face planted off the wagon but I am back on after a restful 10 days at the beach. Summer is in full swing here. Pool is open!! LOL

We started low carb eating on Saturday and I am down 3.5 lbs. Prayers it continues!!

Good morning! emoticon I hope everyone has a good weekend. I will be working this weekend (just like most weekends). My eating has not been all that great recently, but I am getting back on track. The last 2-3 days have been better. I seem to have this habit of 2 steps forward and 1 step back. I am not giving up! I can and will lose this weight and get healthy. emoticon emoticon

hi all well i had a fracture on my left knee cap so ive been out of commission for weeks, but today im going to get a puppy of my own and im super excitedshes going to get me walking and that will help me loose weight

Well, we didn't get any snow Friday but woke up this morning to about an inch. Hubby, son and I worked in the yard about 7 hours yesterday cutting down trees, hauling branches, raking sweet gum balls, burning a huge pile of sticks. Logged almost 11K steps only to wake up to a .4 gain this morning. Go figure! LOL

The snow won't stay but we had flowers and trees blooming. Winter had it's chance. Snowing in the spring time doesn't make me happy! MOVE THE SNOW along God. This is only the 2nd time it snowed this winter! CRAZY!!!

Yes, I couldn't agree more!!

Any big plans for the weekend?? I was going to plant bulbs but the news this morning said to expect 2 to 4 inches of snow Friday into Saturday. Our grass is green! UGH! March in Illinois is so annoying!! So I may try and plant them tonight.

I agree. That is what derails most people. I have already messed up, what is one more time, week, month, etc.

I get busy and forget it myself. That is what is aggravates me when I gain back the weight. I lost 70 pounds a few years ago and hit a plateau that lasted a long time. I ended up gaining too much weight back. I have a lot of cute clothes I miss being able to wear and will not buy anything bigger. I know I can and will do this!

One step at a time!!

My cravings are HORRIBLE once a month, too. I think a lot of women have that problem.

The last few days I have been staying under my calorie limit. The nice part....I do not feel deprived of hungry. It's amazing how low-cal healthy eating is.

Happy Wednesday all! I hope everyone is making progress, either in weight, exercise or tracking.

Hubby and I went to Nashville over the weekend and I am not happy with my behavior! Ugh.
When I don't have enough water/tea I gain. Driving that far in the car I didn't feel like I could drink a lot. I am paying for it this week!

We have had rain the last few days and the grass is starting to turn green! Love this time of year!! Trees are starting to get buds and flowers are coming up -- it seems a bit early but I am not complaining!!

Weigh in day! Down another 1.5 pounds! Even though I've only lost 7.5 pounds, I'm noticing a huge difference in my pants. Time to do a little shopping!

I'm glad you're having a good week. emoticon on the weight loss!

I'm doing well this week. I'm continuing to make wise choices with my eating and exercising. I am focusing on small, reachable goals. I don't beat myself up if I mess up. I acknowledge my mistakes and move on.

Having a great week! Had a great sensible meal last night and surprised hubby with wine and chocolate dipped strawberries and STILL managed to lose 3 pounds. Don't ask me how!
