My journey is slow...but steady. I didn't get fat I wont get "skinny" overnight either. I have been struggling because my husband started his "diet/lifestyle" in July, 2015 and has now lost 102#. Very happy for him....but makes it harder in my mind to keep focused on my path. He looks great, he started his journey at 307#.

I started my journey on 10/10/2014 at 351#. Today (well my last weigh in last week) I am at 298. I hit a 3 month plateau last September with the scale. But my body has been continuously changing which encourages me. I blew it at Christmas with baked goodies, and winter has been really hard because my main exercise is outdoor walking. I have been waffling between 298-305# since the holidays. So I truly hope the next time I weigh in the scale shows any kind of loss.

Working on reconditioning to where I was before winter is tough! I journal everyday, with the good/bad/or ugly. It is what it is. In the beginning I thought if I don't log it know one will know? What the heck good was that, reality is

I almost left this group, just because I belong to so many others...but realized that I need this team. I have a long road ahead of me. And I feel that I will have more people with similar goals and struggles.

Welcome back again! I started at 257 about 4 years ago, with a goal weight of 140. I am now hanging between 210 and 215. No, it's not much, but I am a much healthier person through food choices and exercise. This isn't easy, but neither is living fat and unhealthy. These lifelong changes are important and rewarding, and worth every bit of effort! Having little ones does add to the difficulty of planning and getting exercise done. Hint! Kids make great weights for calf raises and plie squats! Adding weights also helps. You can start with canned veggies or water bottles. Weights can be picked up for little cost at 5 Below or Walmart. The videos on here are great and many are short and can be squeezed in at short notice. Wishing you the best!!

I started with good intentions but soon reality set in and I gave in to temptation over and over again. I was almost done with Diet Coke but instead of only buying one 12 pack and weaning myself off I had to buy 4 because they were on sale and logging my food fell along the wayside when I got discouraged at the amount of calories I was consuming . I took a long hard look at myself and then at my 3 and 4 year old children and realized it isn't about what is easy for me but it's about what will keep me alive and make me healthy for my kids. I bought a mini cycle to use while watching tv and I am researching Paleo because I've read several books and articles about how this type of diet can help ease MS flares ( I was diagnosed with MS in 2010 ) . I plan on tweaking my calorie allowance and when my daughter starts kindergarten in August I hope to be able to add a few more exercises and maybe before then get up an hour early and do an exercise dvd before everyone gets up. This needs to happen if not for my benefit than for my kids and I need to keep that foremost in my mind.
