The housing office is right. Until you husband has inprocessed at that post you cannot get housing. Since he is still going thru AIT there is a possiblity that you may get stationed somewhere else.

WTF??? anyone have any idea who i can talk to...or whats going on for that matter? i'm so confused, and i dont want to lose my place to live cause the army is retarded!

OH YES!!!!!
The first month my husband is deployed is always the worst. But I have found that if you take 1 day at a time and don't stress(I know not easy) about things that you can't control it makes things easier.
One of the things that I do when he is gone is write down 5 things that I am thankful for. It doesn't matter if it is that same things because one day you will start writing down something different and then you will start to realize your inner strength. I usually write down that I am thankful for my kids,my husband, food on the table,a roof over my head and God. Pretty soon I start looking at things like the sunrise or the sunset or how my kids make me laugh.
You will get thru this. Walking also helps me. Take the kids on a walk to the park. It helps them exercise and you can decompress.

LAME! and my roommate that i'm trying to kick out wont clean up at all, not even after his own kid! refused to even buy toilet paper(nothing new) Ug.

how does anyone stay up with fitness? i seem to be eating more (idk if its just b/c more is available), and working out lots less :( I don't want him to come home to a fat wife, but i can't seem to move ahead at all! anyone been here too?

This when you are going to find out how much inner strength you really have. I know that I can do it. These are words you need to say to yourself everyday looking into the mirror. Have faith in yourself. You can conquer anything you set your mind to. Remember to dance in the rain not just cry because it is raining. Remember also that we are always here for you.

Never look back, unless you plan on going that way.

It's a new day.

he is in bootcamp :( i know its not as hard as if he was deployed, but we have not been apart in 9 years! i don't live in a military community, so all i really have is you lovelies online...

the hard part was trying to find the rent money when his check didn't come in at the 1st of this month, and our landlord (who knows he's in the army) wouldn't give us any extra time or anything, and on top of that we have 6 family members being evicted from where they are living (for various reasons) who want to move in here...i just didn't want david (my husband) to worry about it,he is a worrier and he already has so much to do in boot. this is all stuff he usually takes care of.

First know that you are not alone.
You can tell him everything without it sounding like you are complaining. Just tell him that you are keeping him up to date with everything that is going on while he is gone. Trust me it helps you from going crazy and it keeps him in the loop. Remember that you have us also to help keep your chin up when the going gets tough.
