it's no problem, if my sister had given me the ships address I would have sent them to her. As it is I am going to find a soldier or two to adopt once we find ourselves jobs again... I still feel like the military is family even if we only got 6 months.

My husband is right there with you, he left 3 days before our son turned 2 months. He will be almost 9 months old when he comes home.

Kris,
That is sooo sweet. Thanks. I'm good though. I'm only here for another 94 days and will be moving around alot. Packages will be hard to get to me this late in the tour. Thank you though that was very thoughtful of you. I can't wait to get home. My son is almost walking I can't believe it. He wasn't even crawling when I left. emoticon

Well 94 days is going to go by quick and I will be back with my boys in no time. I know this will be my last trip and that makes it a bit more bearable. I can't wait.

Christy, give me your mail address and I will mail you a care package. It is the least I can do. I'll even send you some Lavender : ). I'll be counting down for you until you come home. Be safe.

I know that feeling, that is how I found out about the Lavender working. So the plan is to look towards San Diego for work and home now. Still with my sister, we're going to try to find a house for rent. I guess I have gotten so used to being the one to make all the decisions I have decided for Hubby. We will have a better chance of finding work out there. I am much calmer now... I am still sad I didn't get to be a true Army wife, and now I have to deal with a husband who is convinced that because he is being meded out he failed me and our son. I don't know how to handle that or how to convince him he is wrong. I am hoping he is talking to Chaps for help, he always did have a low opinion of himself and this is not going to help. Good luck sleeping sweetie, if you have a Henry's market near you, they have a lavender body spray that I use on my pillows at night. It works like a dream.

Believe it or not Lavender will actually help you sleep. It calms the mind enough to get some rest

Definately check out the VA thing. My brother in law used to work for the mouse for about 15 yrs they have good benifits plus the free tickets were cool. My mother in law did all her shopping there for Christmas with his discount. I haven't been sleeping either...been getting only a few hrs a day. I can't get my head to shut off. The Doc told me to meditate it worked at first but still can't seem to shut my head off. I took a sleeping pill last night but I am really scared about getting addicted to them. I hear it's easy to do. Any ideas?

I know I can get insurance for me and my son again, I just need to go back to work for the mouse. We'll be fine. I finally got to sleep about 6:45 and then slept for 3.5 hours... I guess it is better than none. Cancelled my training appt. Just not safe to train on so little sleep. I will make it up at the gym later.

If it lets anyone know how stressed I m right now.. it is 6:13 in the morning and I have been awake since 09:30 yesterday morning. I haven't been able to sleep at all. I have almost been awake for 24 straight hours, and I am supposed to have a physical training session today in a little under 3 hours. Of course it is my last one, due to the now lack of money we are going to be having... I hate this... I think I am going to call the trainer and cancel and hope I can sleep at some poing in the near future.. of course once my son wakes up there goes that idea.

If he was injured on the job he should go to the VA and see about disability. My husband had a bad knee and it got worse when he joined the army. When he got out of AD he got 20% for his knee and 10% for a scar above his eye from being hit with a kevlar helmet. He can also add his dependants. Good luck

Thanks I agree with you. I sent him a letter (well it mails tomorrow) that basically says to ask if they are med discharging or med retiring him and if they are giving him disability for it. Things my really smart been there done that tshirt wearing sister said to ask. I feel like I am on a reed raft set to drift in the ocean right now. I am a total controll freak who is in the process of losing it. Thank you again for the support I really need it right now.

That really sux. They should fix him. That had to really really hurt. I just spent a week off of running cuz my knee hurt I would hate to know what pain he went through. Is he having surgery?

Regarding the job hunting: There are programs on post that help spouses find jobs have you tried looking there for a new job? Not sure how it works but I think they help you with your resume and job skills.
I wish you the best of luck. I hope they do fix his knee. He at least deserves that.

Thank you. HE was half way through basic and he tore the lateral meniscus in his knee. He spent 2 months at PTRP they sent him back down range as Fit for full duty, apparently on a 2 mile hike, his knee gave out. And when they had a security stop DS saw his battle buddy help him to his feet. They sent him back to sick call and they did 2 more MRIs on his knee, now he has a cyst, the tear is bigger and he has developed bone spurs. They are med boarding him instead of surgery and con leave saying that there is no guarentee it won't re-tear the cyst reform or the bone spurs come back. Of course my sister the Navy Corpsman said "yeah and there is no guarentee he will wake up from anesthesia if you put it that way either." So now, I don't know if the Army is fixing his knee as all of the injury to it happened in Basic. They broke him I think they should fix him, don't know if that will happen though. So now I have to find a job, thinking of going back to Disney, hell I will commute and he has to find one too. I am in a no nothing but the basics situation and it sucks. Thank you so much, I will stay. I'd miss you too! emoticon

In one month I will no longer be an Army wife. My husband's knee has gotten worse and he stumbled while on march and his DS saw it. He is being med boarded out. So I guess I no longer belong here. I would love to stay in this group I have made friends here but I no longer belong. So... goodbye and blessings to everyone.
