Ummm according to my doctor you can do any exercise, so long as you are physically capable of doing them and you are not stressing yourself. I worked in a bank and had to lift boxes of coins and I am avid camper and would still hike and camp. Example- people who normally run marathons can continue to run- in fact they are encouraged to continue. Being physically fit makes all the other symptoms (weird cravings, and swollen ankles) lessen.

Sparks even has a sister site for pregnancy and you can always start that subscription to Fit Pregnancy!!!

Anyway congratulations and have fun at the doctor and get those prenatal vitamins!!!!

WOW!!! Congratulations! I am not a doctor, my the advise I would give you about exercise is to maybe just not run! Make sure you talk to your doctor about it. I read a study recently that said that heavier women can safely gain less weight than normal weight women and that obese women can even lose a few pounds. The point being that complications related to obesity during pregnancy can be very serious. Be sure to talk to your doctor about it as much as possible! I wish you a healthy, happy pregnancy!

I'm so sorry for not posting yesterday. It was a busy day -- I am startin gmy own child care and I had all of my inspections yesterday! Thankfully I passed them all. But then My hubby and I decided to go get a pregnancy test because I was going through some of the pregnancy symptoms and that TOM didn't come in Feb. So we went and got one and - it was positive. SO it was a big night!

It's my first pregnancy ever and I'm so excited but nervous. I want to try to keep my weight gain as minimal as possible. So I'm going to try to get a walk in appt at the hospital on post today to get confrimation.

Okay...
so I didn't do any crunches- is it safe to do right now?

Cardio- 35 min walking
Water- 9 cups of water
Motivate- I did it!

So for yesterday

Okay... so far so good.

I went to the zoo with my husband and daughter and walked for 2 hours (30 min/ mi). Felt good since Tom is about to leave.

Did the crunches, but split them up to work all abs- 10 reg, 20 crunches with twist, 10 leg lifts, 10 low/lift legs to each side.

However I did have some green tea... I am just such a big fan. I helps me start my day, so that ones going to be hard.

I hope you all have a great day...

Oh and as general news- gaiam.com is having a sale and the have an elliptical cross-trainer $169.99

emoticon Okay ladies... St. Patty's Day is right around the corner! 10 days to be exact -- so I was thinking it would be good to start a 10 day challenge/ commitment.

Join if you would like- the goal, to lose 2 lbs by St. Patty's Day.

How?
WATER- let's try to substitute all of our beverages for the next 10 days with water ONLY.

CARDIO- let's find a way to get in at least 30 mins, every other day- and try to go a little beyond our normal limits. Maybe jog instead of run, jumping jacks between commercials.

CRUNCHES- we love these don't we?! Everyday, 50 crunches. Let's take out time with these so that they are effective. Watch the demo for a refresher if you want to.

MOTIVATE- Each day, let's try to post something that is encouraging to someone else. We all need encouragemnet along this journey!

And that's it!! Each day just post your stats for the day and put emoticon after each goal that youv'e met! On St. Patty's Day or the day after, post your weight loss.

Let's make this happen! emoticon

Have a blessed and "loser" week!
