I would recomend "10 Minute Solutions" DVD's... I think there are a few different types to choose from. I like the Dance routine DVD. It has 6 different workouts that are each 10 minutes long, and each target different areas. You can pick and choose and combine the workouts in any order you want or just do one workout at a time. The routines are easy to learn and dont require any extra equipment. Its nice and easy to create a costomized workout for 10 to 60 minutes. They are pretty inexpensive too!

I go snowshoeing! It is such a workout! I used to think I could NEVER enjoy being outside in the cold, but I tried snowshoeing this year and loved it. I bought smartwool as my base layer and some good warm gear so I am not cold at all when I am out. (it truly is all about the right gear) This has really made winter more bearable for me.

I have to exercise in the morning at 5am, I have found if I don't exercise in the morning I won't after work at 6pm. I loving running or walking outside but when it gets below 25 I get on my treadmill. I watch television, listen to my ipod or read fitness articles, it extremely boring but I can manage for 60 minutes at any rate.

I'm not a get up early and go to the gym kind of person but I could see how that would help. I've started incorporating some outdoor winter activities like xcountry skiing. It helps with the winter blues!

I work out in the mornings. So it not only wakes me up and get my blood pumping, but it also gets my hard workouts of the way. It actually keeps me very active durring the day.

I worked into the morning workout by starting with 5 minutes a day. After a while it was habit. Now I stumble out of bed and on to my exercise bike before I'm 100% awake sometimes! :)

I finally broke through my "I'm too tired to get up early" excuse pattern and am now on Day 7 of early morning workouts! I'm enjoying Jillian M. and The Shred...it is kicking my bum. DH has decided to join me in my morning workouts so we are great motivation to one anohter to GET UP and GET GOING!

WHOOOHOO for milestones.

I use exercise videos and park my car when I drive my youngest to preschool and walk while they are in their class emoticon

I've managed to get a little more creative with my exercise lately. I've been doing situpps and push ups and bridges on the ball before bed. I also have been walking the 3 flights of stairs in my building about 3 times or 10 minutes worth. I've managed a few short 15 min walks. And today I met a milestone in getting up and doing pilates for about 25 minutes this morning.

Any other creative ideas from anybody? I'm not able to commit to a gym membership right now!

I agree with Ed. I'm a gym person. However I'm working on doing some strength training at home when I watch TV or something. It keeps me warm. I've also been cooking some seasonal foods, like hearty soups. For some reason, it just helps me deal with the season better!

Not all that easy for me - but I have a routine of going to the gym 5 days a week and I'm going to stick with it. My biggest problem is that I want to EAT - and I guess I'll just have to fill the house with healthy goodies.

Hello fellow Montana Sparkers! I've noticed that now that it is getting darker and cooler that I feel like holing up and just eating and sleeping which really hasn't been much help to me in my weight loss journey. I've gained 3 lbs in the last few weeks. SO... I'm posing the question of How Do You Cope With Cooler Weather, More Darkness and Keep Yourself Motivated?

Thanks in advance for your input!
