I like spark guys plan 10 mins several times a day all add up. i do go to senior boot camp at the gym on Fridays for a hour
at home I do those 20 work outs on spark put in a walk of the pounds DVD some days I do two miles all at once other break it up and love my morning walks with my fur buddy.

Mine varies depending on how I'm feeling that day. Normally I aim for a minimum of 20 minutes, but have had sessions that lasted over an hour. Typically between 20 - 45 minutes.

I lost weight when I went meatless for a couple of months. I don’t normally eat all my calories for the day which probably works against me. Also I’m pre menopause so my body seems to be laughing at my efforts right now. emoticon

Yes, I've released 30(+/-) lbs that way and kept it off for over 5 years. I do better when I'm consistently exercising and tracking my food (although I hate the time/effort involved in the latter).

Has anyone lost weight by watching your portion sizes/serving sizes and working out?


FOR ME....I think portion control is in the eyes of the beholder. Find out what your calorie range is for the day and stick to it. Exercising will also help in the weight loss program. I don't follow a "diet" because I know that doesn't work for me. When I started I committed to choosing to eat healthy most of the time. I did track my food and calories because I know for me calories matter. Really no food was off limits, although I also know that some foods need to be eaten w/care. And I also know that wine (which I like) can't be a regular part of my diet. Exercise is an important factor for me when losing weight. Calories In vs Calories Out.

What is something you like to do/have the old fashioned way?



FOR ME.... Hand written letters coming in the mail. Phone conversations rather than texting. Hard covered cooking books and reading books. (Love to see the pictures and feel the pages). Just to name a few.

Yes, when I had peach trees. I just had 4 trees but what an abundance of fruit they produced. The result was peach jam

I had a surprise baby shower thrown for me, by the woman of my church! It was a blast. Also we, my family, gave a surprise party to my father in law. His 80 th - he went home to be with the LORD right after his 81, so that is a memory I will hold forever! emoticon

I'll skip back a few questions since I didn't answer the 'rose' question.

I have a few rose bushes, but not a garden of them- --they bloomed like crazy this year, and finally DH confessed to putting a special powder on them to make them bloom--bless his heart. He really supports me in my love for certain flowers.

He also helped my gardenia plant to bloom--they are not rare in Charlotte, NC but I've never had one to bloom for me before--the 2nd year--gorgeous. Brought several beautiful white blooms inside.

Loving our great spring season here in Charlotte NC.

I have a Rose of Sharon bush, but that's it for roses. I have several other flowers. My husband bought a flat of different flowers for me which I transplanted into various pots. They're doing well. It seems the past several years, the hanging baskets just haven't survived the summer.

Yes I have a rose bush that I’ve been trying to uproot for years! Not happening it wins every time. And every year the roses change, now they are little red roses, they started out big red ones. emoticon

June is Rose Month. Do you have a rose garden?


FOR ME... No I don't have a rose garden. sure would love to have a rose bush somewhere in my yard.
