Sneak Peek for the Week

May Habit: Moving


Let's have a Fire Drill! Go get the hotspots cleared off in your Living Room and or Family Room! You know the piles that I am talking about. The ones that just grow and grow!! Put that fire out! Take 10 minutes and put things away where they belong and toss the rest.


Entrance, Front Porch and the Dining Room. Your mission for today is to take 10 minutes to get rid of the hotspots that gather in this area. The junk mail, newspapers, shoes, jackets etc, that seem to get stuck in a holding pattern when you set them down and plan to get back to them. It is amazing how inviting the entrance area can be when there is not a bunch of STUFF everywhere. Grab a trash bag first and toss what can be tossed. Then grab the jackets and shoes and deliver them to their homes. I promise this makes a huge difference!


We are headed into the dining room today, it is anti-procrastination day. Your mission for today is to spend 15 minutes decluttering your dining room. It does not matter what you get rid of, just get rid of anything that does not belong in the dining room. Once again start with a trash bag and toss, toss, toss! If you still have time, then grab things that need to be put away and do that. Set your timer and don't overwhelm yourself. This is all about babysteps.


Today your mission is to sweep off your front porch, shake out your door mats and wipe down your front door. Hopefully today is a beautiful day for you to be outside for a few moments and to enjoy a little sunshine. Get rid of the twigs and dirt on the front porch and use a little general purpose cleaner to clean up your front door. We have a tendency to forget this area and yet it is the first thing that we see when we go through the door. Reward yourself for a job well done with a tall glass of water and spend a few moments just to enjoy the day. Have fun!


We are still going to work in the dining room today. Take 15 minutes and work some more on your de-cluttering as we did yesterday. Once again toss anything that can be tossed and put away anything that can be put away. We are working towards the dining room being a dining room and not a storage and pile up area. Keep reminding yourself that you are going to change your home 15 minutes at a time.

If God gives us what he thinks we can handle, He must think I'm a BadAss.

Stop being afraid of what could go wrong and start being excited about what could go right.

Your body can stand almost anything. It's your mind that you have to convince.
