This week we are in the Bathroom and One Extra Room

This month's Habit is: Pampering


It is time to clear off the flat surfaces in the bathroom. This means the edge of the tub, the counter tops and the back of the toilets. We have a tendency to let things pile up on these areas and usually it is just clutter. Toss what you can and put away the rest! Those shampoo bottles, hair ties and cosmetics. You know what belongs!


As you know that Zone 3 is the main bathroom and another room in the house.
Today that other room is the laundry area. Take 15 minutes and straighten up the laundry area. Put away the stray hangers. Wipe down the washing machine and dryer. Toss out all those empty detergent and fabric softner bottles that you have meant to take care of. You know what you need to do, just set your timer for 15 minutes and get busy!


I know you had this mission last month, however it is a good idea to do this one often!
I want you to take 15 minutes to wipe down your door knobs, light switches and phones in your home. As many of them as you can accomplish in 15 minutes. If you need more time, take a break and go back for another 15. Use plain rubbing alcohol on a rag or something that is anti-bacterial to get rid of all of the germs and handprints that have built up. Also, when wiping down the phone make sure you wipe down the mouthpiece as well.


Today we are going back into the office, computer area or desk area! Take 5 minutes to empty your trash can and take a feather duster or dust rag to the room. It is ok if you have piles and you are still working on the clutter, just dust around the stuff for now to get rid of the dusites that have started to get really comfortable in there. You get extra bonus points for sweeping or vacuuming the room as well! Set your timer for ten minutes and don't get sidetracked!


Today is the last day in in the Bathroom.
Your mission for today is to do a five minute declutter mission. No big deal, just grab a trash can and toss anything in the bathroom and your most cluttered room that you can for five minutes. When you are finished, that is it. See how much you can toss in 5 minutes.
