Errand Day
Thursday at FlyLady is Errand Day. We use this day to get out and run whatever errands we need to do for the week. Make a list of wherever you need to go and whatever you need to do during the day today and then get to it. This can include:

Grocery shopping
Doctor appointments
Dentist appointments
School shopping
Dropping the clothes off at the cleaner
And tons of other things. If it needs to be done outside the house, today is the day to do it. Make a list of these things and check them off as you do them.

This week we are in Zone 3: The Bathroom and One Extra Room
This month's Habit is: Pampering

Zone 3: Mission #4 Thursday

Dear Friends,
Today we are going back into the office, computer area or desk area! Take 5 minutes to empty your trash can and take a feather duster or dust rag to the room. It is ok if you have piles and you are still working on the clutter, just dust around the stuff for now to get rid of the dusites that have started to get really comfortable in there. You get extra bonus points for sweeping or vacuuming the room as well! Set your timer for ten minutes and don't get sidetracked!

fall decor down - not quite put away but at least in the storage room - Christmas tree up and doing a bit more today - also had to focus on a fraud issue but I think after 4 days of 4-5 hours a day on this mess it is looking good - a few more to go but I see the light at the end of the tunnel - and boy do I feel like cookies while I decorate - guess it will be popcorn haha

When our counter tops get cluttered with stuff the heart of our home looks bad and feels bad.



Your mission today is to set your timer for 15 minutes and start putting the clutter away that has invaded these surfaces. You know those small appliances that you have only used once this month. It time to find them a new place to live. When the counters are cleared your heart is shining again.



We use this day to get out and run whatever errands we need to do for the week. Make a list of wherever you need to go and whatever you need to do during the day today and then get to it. This can include:

Grocery shopping
Doctor appointments
Dentist appointments
School shopping
Dropping the clothes off at the cleaner

Grab some cleaner and a cloth and go after the finger prints and smudges. You can even take this mission in to the entrance and wipe down your front door!

Check the floors in your living room.

Look at that two inches all the way around the walls and baseboards that seems to get missed with the vacuum and the broom. Your mission today is to use the vacuum and really concentrate on that area, you can also use a vegetable or toilet bowl brush (not the ones that you are currently using on veggies or the toilet, lol)to loosen the hair and dirt that gets caught up against the wall.

This week, we have been tackling clutter in our bedrooms. So, today we are going to clean off the nightstands!

Get the tissues, cups and stuff that has piled up, toss and put away. Then grab a feather duster or dust rag and dust the surface. Place a pretty candle or picture there. Something that is new to that spot that you love to see.
Waking up and not seeing a pile of things on the nightstand and a pile of clothes will make your morning a little brighter!

THURSDAY, OCTOBER 13TH, 2016



For the bathroom today, take 10 minutes to toss old cosmetics and perfumes. If you have these items that you have not used for over a year but they are still hanging around, it is time to dump them. If you have not worn anything in the past year then toss it. Most cosmetics have a limited shelf life and are harboring grounds for bacteria. This also applies to lotions and moisturizers.

EXTRA ROOM....

So, today we are going to do an extra 27 Fling Boogie like we did on Monday. Also Your mission is to sweep or vacuum this room.


We use this day to get out and run whatever errands we need to do for the week. Make a list of wherever you need to go and whatever you need to do during the day today and then get to it. This can include:

Grocery shopping
Doctor appointments
Dentist appointments
School shopping

LAST BUT NOT LEAST....PAMPER YOURSELF



One little thing that helps me is to put on some uplifting music while I do these missions!

Today I want you to spend 5 minutes and check on the cleaning supplies and things under your sink. Are there things that you don't need? Are there items you have run out of and need to put on your list? Now, what is up with your dish rags and sponges? This mission is quick and simple! Today is errand day so put what you need on the list and pick that up when you go out today.

OH my! I WAS married to an OCD abusive idiot for 37 years. I clean when company is expected . Now if I do not feel like doing a thing, my 2nd hubby is fine and does not care at all.No more stress or pressures here :) oh.. I have on the stand, a telephone, a small flashlight, My water bottle, and assorted small stuff. There are 2 huge drawers right there and a massive headboard with cabinets.. all mostly empty :)

- My nightstand is usually organized - even have a small flashlight in a drawer to get up and take old dog out at night - place for my water bottle so it wont spill - light - books - etc - ready to go when I hop in bed !

The bathroom sink is calling you! Let's shine our bathroom sinks and counter tops. Scrub the sink and the faucets, wipe down with Windex (remember to be careful that you are not mixing Windex with any bleach products, make sure you rinse very well before using the Windex). Take time to wipe down your counter tops and give them a shine as well.




Your mission for your Stash and Dash space is to go back again to throw away anything that needs to be tossed or recycled. We are going back to do this again because now that we have peeled back one layer it is very possible that there is more to be tossed or another space to toss from.

We use this day to get out and run whatever errands we need to do for the week. Make a list of wherever you need to go and whatever you need to do during the day today and then get to it. This can include:

Your Mission for today is to declutter your plastic wraps and foil drawers, cabinets or shelves.


We all have a spot that we keep these items and there is always one empty box in there and some lone baggies that are trying to escape. Toss the empty boxes, the rolls of plastic wraps that are too stuck together to work, and those strays that you are not sure if you should use them or not.

This is quick and easy! Have Fun!
