Procrastination Wednesday: Set up sewing machine to do some mending, got all items marked and pinned, will finish the jobs tomorrow!! (i was interrupted for good reasons) And how long have I been procrastinationg on these clothing repairs? At least six months!!!!! I can't wait to see that particular clothes basket empty and ready to use for it's intended purposes!!!

Yup - I agree - thanks so much ! right now I am fighting fraud on my credit card - 3 days of misery - along days and nothing good to show for it - and to think I might be responsible for the charges - It is a long story and a mess - but I have decided to stop after 5 hours a day and do a little something around the house -

OH MY - I had a hybrid wolf - Mogli - He was great and gorgeous - I love the looks of wolves !!! He would pick up my little 4 pound Bichon and carry her around the house - and he loved to run in the mountains -

going to rest tonight with my standard poodle - my 14 yr old Boston Terrier and 3 persian cats - and decorate a tiny bit -

Thank you for the time you are taking to lead this group. I appreciate it very much.
Today I boiled eggs for the refrigerator for lunch or snacks, took everything out of the silverware drawer, went thru it, wiped it down and put back only what I am using.also got a few phone calls made that I needed to take care of.

great idea. Procrastination is my hubby's middle name and I am the polar double A- type personality! I have an idea to share. Make a list of to do things. Each day accomplish the top item.Do not try for a lot of them it is just overwhelming. The list gets done and quickly too.Some things may be out of order.. LIFE HAPPENS.. but the sense of accomplishment is there. For me, housework is never a feel great anything. It is always ready for company.
DO not think the sink is the heart of my kitchen. I AM. My sink is a tool.It has no heart or soul. It is how I FEEL that is the heart. If ithas dishes in it that have not been in the dishwaher, my heart is fine. I t means I am doing something that I actually enjoy more. the dishes can wait.the earth will not open and swallow me up.Housework is not to be stressed over. Life gives no 2nd chances so enjoy what makes you feel good..It is each person that has a heart and soul.
Sorry.. I sometimes pop out of retirement! :) enjoy the day :) ....this is the work island in the kitchen and bar sink.Full oversized wash area is on the opposite side. I may not like to clean but does not mean has to be messy

exercise done - fridge repaired - made french toast muffins for the freezer (ate one) - picked up dog stuff from yard - put all garbage in cans and pulled them to end of drive - did laundry (still need to go down and get the rest) - cut out a bunch of coupons while sitting and watching repair guy -

Wednesday is Anti-procrastination Day. We are going to straighten up the floor of your closet! Are the shoes piling up and you can't find two shoes that are a like? Do you think you have too many shoes? While you are lining up your shoes; pick two pair to give away or throw away. The next time you are looking for the pair of shoes that match your outfit, you will smile because you will be able to find them without getting down on your hands and knees. This will put another smile on your face and keep your hair from getting messed up.

OCTOBER 12TH 2016



Bathroom Mission: Today you are to wash your bathroom rugs, shower curtains and accessories. This will take longer than 15 minutes and for those of you that are working outside the home you may have to schedule this. In total, to take the rugs to the machine and bring them back to the bathroom is less than 15 minutes but the wait time for the washing machine and dryer will take up some time. If you have not rebooted your laundry this is a good time to do that!


For the guest bedroom, Get your feather duster and get the cobwebs out of the corners. I have a bad habit to not step foot in our guest bedroom for a few days, and when I do it is only for a second. I am sure this is a cringe worthy mission, however it has to be done. You CAN do this, YOU have the power to be brave.

I decided that your mission for the kitchen today would be to check your stove tops and ovens for things that should not be there. You are not to be using your oven as a storage place for ANYTHING! Check the tops of your stove and the area around it to make sure that you do not have anything that will melt or catch on fire. Now, once you have done this, grab a rag and some general purpose cleaner and wipe down the top of the stove, the knobs and the door of the oven. Have fun and be safe!

my shoes are in a shoe holder on the door - can't leave anything on floor - when my standard poodle gets anxious she likes to chew on my things - She has even pulled something off a hanger - can't keep the closet door closed since I have a cat that hides, and I never see him until he starts clawing at the carpet to get out - Things are pretty quiet now since my daughter and 3 wee ones are back at their home - m,y 5 furry ones get a little disoriented with so many toddlers running about - I still keep things off the floor -now it is a habit emoticon

morning routine - dogs in and out - fed - returned movie - went to early morning dermatologist appt - had invasive melanoma a while back (3 surgeries) and always go for my check up - did have a biopsy done this morning but not worried -

back home - bills and budget - catching up on texts and emails - guess the rest of the day will be catch up -

figuring out piano pieces for a specific student on Friday - picked out about 4 that will be challenging for him -

great day - windows open - cool breeze blowing in - I am bundled in sweater but I love the breeze - I call it my house cleansing -

took care of the morning stuff. been on the run all afternoon for work!

Gotta get off a few pounds at least for my husbands drag race event.

Did my morning routine....make beds, showered, ate breakfast, cleaned dishes and went to my yearly Eye Examination Appointment. No crastinating here.

WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 14th 2016


It is Anti-procrastination Day!

It is time to take a look into the medicine cabinets and toss the empty bottles and boxes that are taking up space. While you are doing this also take a look at the expiration dates on the medicines that are there. If you have some that need to be gotten rid of take care of that as well. Grab a damp rag and wipe down the shelves. Don't take everything out, just lift, wipe and put back.

STASH AND DASH


Your Mission for the Stash and Dash space is to spend 5 minutes putting away the things that have a home, you know where they go but you tossed the in a pile while stashing and dashing because someone was coming over. The Stash and Dash spaces are just piles of procrastination.

DAILY

Anti-Procrastination Day
Each and every Wednesday is Anti-Procrastination Day for FlyLady. This is a day that we take care of things we’ve been putting off. You can use this day to take care of any procrastinating you’ve done. You can do things like:


Make doctors appointments
Finish that report for work
Work on a project with your child
Clean the fish tank
You can do whatever you need to take care. This is the day to stop putting things off.



Before you go to bed, shine your sink. Do not have dirty dishes or cups in the sink. Either wash them by hand or put them in the dishwasher. It is great to wake up to a clean sink. Gather up your newspaper or mail and put them away. Get your clothes and lunch ready for the next day. There are many things to do before bed to ensure that your morning is less stressful before work or school.

Today is Anti-Procrastination Day and we are still in the kitchen,


Your mission for today is to grab a trash bag and clean out your refrigerator. You are to toss ANYTHING that will not get eaten any time soon. This means that new salad dressing you decided to try but really don't like. It is time to let it go. Just as the rule applies to the rest of the house. If you don't love or use it, lose it! Get rid of the fruit that is a few days beyond when it was really edible, get rid of the veggies that are turning into a science project. Check the dates on the cheeses that are potential science project.

You will be able to really make a better grocery list when your fridge is cleaned out of all the items you don't like and or don't use!

Anti-Procrastination Day Makes Room for Guilt-free Fun
"Just 15 minutes a day will set you on a path toward clutter free living."

Today is the day we go after that "stuff" that gets left in the Living Room and the Family Room. Set your timer for 15 minutes and go after the things that need to be put away. Deliver them to their proper homes and get back to the room and check again. Do not get sidetracked when you are putting something away in another room and start picking up that room. This is not all or nothing! This is all about babysteps and being proud of the small things that we can accomplish!
