Did some shopping for date night snack for an evening out with a group of special friends of ours. Went for a lovely walk with my neighbor girlfriend. Had a lovely time chatting and catching up on events happening in our lives.

FRIDAY

Today is spa retreat day! You mission is to treat yourself to a spa like experience in your own shiny bathroom. This means the ultimate of bubble baths or showers. This is to include candle light, music, maybe something to read, a glass of something cool and refreshing to drink or maybe an exotic hot tea. Whatever you want it to be. Give yourself the opportunity to rest, relax and enjoy. You deserve it!

Your mission for the children's room today is to provide them with an extra something special. This could mean staying up a little later than usual, the opportunity to play a forgotten game, watch a favorite movie or read a favorite book together. This does not need to take hours, just a few special moments for you and your child, for both of you to feel loved and special.

We use each Friday as our De-Clutter your Purse and Car day. This only takes a few minutes and saves us lots of time later. Without the candy wrappers, old receipts, and other trash in your purse, finding your car keys becomes a breeze! Removing all the clutter and trash from your car ensures that you wonít be hit by any UFOs (Unidentified Flying Objects) in the event of a crash. Set aside a few minutes just for these two tasks each Friday. Hereís a list of things to toss:

Old gum and candy wrappers
Soda bottles
Scraps of paper/old receipts
Drive thru bags and cups
Jackets/coats/shoes
Set your timer and get to it.

Friday is also Date Night. Relationships have to be nurtured. If not, you are going to wake up one day when the children are grown and not know the person you chose to spend your life with. It is up to us to make sure we grow together! Now donít think I am going to leave out you single people! We all have relationships! Some are marital and others are friendship. As for those friendships that you have let fall by the wayside because your home was too messy for people to come over, it is time to pick up the phone and just say hi!

Relationships are not just inanimate objects; they are made of people with feelings. When we open up our hearts and let someone else in, we become better people! We canít just ignore the relationship and expect it to stay the same. People need attention! You need attention! If you give it, it will come back to you! I promise.

LAST BUT NOT LEAST......

THURSDAY

It is time to double check the supplies in your bathroom and make sure you are ready for your virtual getaway with us! Do you need toilet paper, toothpaste, band aids, new toothbrushes etc.? If so now is the time to get your bathrooms ready! Add these items to your shopping list and get them as soon as you can.

For the children's rooms: set the timer and work with your child. Dust the dressers, desktops and nightstands and windex the mirrors. Do this together, let your children see that this is not torture and how quickly it can be done. Play beat the clock and share a snack or play time together when you are finished! OR do the same in another room of the house if you don't have children in your household.

We use this day to get out and run whatever errands we need to do for the week. Make a list of wherever you need to go and whatever you need to do during the day today and then get to it. This can include:

Grocery shopping
Doctor appointments
Dentist appointments
School shopping
Dropping the clothes off at the cleaner
And tons of other things. If it needs to be done outside the house, today is the day to do it. Make a list of these things and check them off as you do them.

Moisturize! Moisturize! Moisturize!!

Grab your favorite lotion and go crazy- head to toe and everywhere in between. Don't forget places like your elbows and heels too! Toss some warm fuzzy socks and even some gloves on and really trap that moisture in for an extra boost of moisture. Your skin (and mine!) will thank you!

Got the clothes done as I periodically check what he can wear and what is too small and give to Goodwill. However, I got a surprise as when we went to church on Sunday,he was wearing long pants that were way too short and I realized he is growing up FAST emoticon and ~~ I need to donate those pants! emoticon

It is time to get your spa accessories ready. Check your bathrooms for clean towels, bubble bath (pull out that stuff you have been saving for "good"), lotions, shampoo and conditioner, facial cleanser and or masks. Anything that will make you feel pampered, scrubbed and buffed. We are going to have some fun!

Your mission for the children's room is to spend 15 minutes going through your child's clothing. This does not mean to dump out everything they own. This means to set your timer and take out of the room what no longer fits, no longer looks nice or is beyond repair for your child to wear. If you don't have children at home, go through your closet and do the same thing. Get those things out of the rooms! DO NOT GET OBSESSED! Only 15 minutes.

Anti-Procrastination Day

Each and every Wednesday is Anti-Procrastination Day. This is a day that we take care of things weíve been putting off. You can use this day to take care of any procrastinating youíve done. You can do things like:

Make doctors appointments
Finish that report for work
Work on a project with your child
Clean the fish tank
You can do whatever you need to take care. This is the day to stop putting things off.

Moisturize!

You might want to give this facial cream a try!

We are heading into our virtual vacation and spa get-away! Let's get those bathrooms ready! Your mission for the bathroom is to set the timer for 15 minutes and do a super swish, swipe and scrub. What is this? OK the swish is for swishing the toilet with a toilet brush and a little bit of cleaner (what ever you use is fine, there is no magic potion), then you swipe the counter tops (again with whatever you like best, could be with a rag and windex, a paper towel and general cleaner or one of those disposable wipes, does not matter with what just to wipe them down) and then to scrub the shower and/or tub. Do not get carried away spend two minutes swishing the toilet, 3 minutes to swipe the counters/sink and you get a whole 10 minutes for the shower/tub! I bet you can beat this time!

Your mission for the Children's room is to help your child make their bed. This means fresh sheets if you have them available otherwise just pull the fitted sheet down tight, straighten the top sheet, fluff the pillow and pull the blankets and or bedspread up neatly. Let your kids be a part of learning this and that it can be done quickly. This is not torture it is about the pure joyful feeling of getting into a bed that is neat and clean!

If you don't have a children's room you can choose another room in your house.

Have fun!

On Tuesdays, We take some time out to Plan our week. Planning means taking time to look at next week and see what we can do to make things easier for us during the next week. Here are some things we can do to plan:

Menu planning
Activities planning
Date Night and Family Fun Time planning
Wardrobe planning
Checking prescriptions to see what needs to be refilled
And anything else you might need to plan. There are tons of things we can do to save ourselves time later!
We also get to have lots of fun on Tuesdays. This is where the play part comes from. When our planning is finished, we get to go play! Spend the rest of the day doing something fun just for you. See that movie youíve been wanting to see, take a long bath with a good book, or get out and have some fun at the gym. Whatever makes you happy! This is all about you.

LAST BUT NOT LEAST....

FIND SOME TIME FOR YOURSELF...

BATHROOM AND KIDS ROOM (If you no longer have a kids room, choose another room, example Quest Room)

We are gearing up for our virtual vacation and spa retreat! We are in the bathroom this week and our other room will be the kids room! Let's have some fun!
Your mission for today is to set your timer and declutter the bathroom! Dump the magazines, empty shampoo bottles, bubble bath bottles, old soap slivers, empty toilet paper rolls, used up toothpaste tubes and overflowing trash cans.

Your mission in the kids room is to set a timer and spend 15 minutes emptying trash cans and tossing old broken toys and/or with missing pieces. DO not get obsessed and go crazy and burn out this is 15 minutes and that is it. You will be amazed at what you can do in just 15 minutes.
Lets get ready to have a vacation at home!

Weekly Home Blessing Hour

No detailed cleaning required; vacuum the middle of the floors only! The time on this can depend on the size of your home, could take less than an hour or more than an hour but on average about an hour.

Vacuum
Dust
Quick Mop
Polish Mirrors and Doors
Purge magazines/catalogs
Change Sheets
Empty all trash cans

This takes approximately one hour; some tasks take less than 10 minutes.

ďDonít obsess, set your timer for 10 minutes for each task, then QUIT!Ē ~

Our pamper mission today should you choose to accept it is.....
Moisturize!

This week we are inThe Bathroom and One Extra Room

SUNDAY MISSION...

Each Sunday is the day to Renew Your Spirit. This is a day to take time for yourself and build YOU up with your favorite things. If you donít Renew Your Spirit, you canít renew the spirit of others. Here are some great ideas:

A movie at the local theater
A walk in the park
Curl up with a good book
Take a long hot bubble bath
Watch a favorite movie
There are so many ways you can Renew Your Spirit. Find some that work for you.

ďYou have to love yourself to get your home in order.Ē

LAST BUT NOT LEAST....
