Have been in such awful pain for years and very worse the past 2-3 yrs, every Ortho Dr I saw did not acknowledge the kind of pain I'm in and refused to do hip replacement because of my weight, they just said you need to lose weight first and that was all.
Finally, My Physical Therapist said a colleague had mentioned to her I see a Dr that was highly regarded as someone who cares more for quality of life and I had an appointment today and she said my hip is terrible, she doesn't know how I'm still walking. She will do surgery, but I do need to work on my strength first and nutrition also and recommended a fitness coach and more PT and to come back in JAN and hopefully can get something going then. I'm beyond happy! Soooo, my coaching sessions start in a few days, I filled out paperwork and all.
Here's to a new beginning and losing some weight as well. Wish me luck! He said about 50 lbs would be great or at least working toward that goal. I cannot remember anymore what it felt like to be 50lbs lighter, but I am praying like heck. Keep me in your thoughts and prayers please as I embarque on what I hope will be the start of the end and a new me!
Hope all of you are doing well, you'll be in my thoughts!
